If I remember well, that metal part somehow restraint the flow, as needed by the steering box. I bought mine NORS, but I think Atlas does a reproduction, albeit their prices are quite high.

Expert Posts: 2312 Location: Arizona | I was looking to see how it compared to my 60 Dodge. The dodge lists a 352297. For the plymouths I see the same 352297 listed for a 59 but rockauto lists nothing for a 58. The 58 seems to have a separate remote reservoir, perhaps in 59 they went to the integral reservoir like my 60 has.

Elite Veteran Posts: 977 Location: Sydney, Australia | I need to replace one of my PS hoses but am unsure what to use.. It's the hose that just uses hose clamps with no fittings. You can see it on top of the pump in Sid's last photo. Can I just use normal reinforced hose that can withstand PS fluid? My old hose is so old and out of shape. Does anyone know where I can get the correct ID and OD?

Measure the pipe at the end of the pump for size in MM or Inches.
