Veteran Posts: 163 Location: Metro Detroit | I just picked her up in western MI, I just couldn't let a Plymouth slip by in my state and I have been missing mine ever since I sold my last one. Of course it has been painted red & white and has had some quarter / rocker work but overall it is not too bad. The front fenders are fiberglass, the ugly mirrors will be gone soon, the bumpers need to be redone but the car presents well. The interior is pretty much original aside from the floor shifter, someone went right over the factory seats with the tweed covers and I have to have the headliner replaced. The drivetrain is a 2001 360, 727 trans with a manual valve body and a 70 road runner sure grip rear end with dynamax mufflers - she sounds alot cooler than my last flattie! She appears to have been originally a tan color with a 301 / 3 speed stick. I am very happy to be back and I cant wait to show her off! My wife says that she wishes we would've had this car for our wedding day instead of my Galaxie sedan - that I must now sell......

Location: Parts Unknown | Black walls, dog dishies, and a more period looking shifter and I'd be perfectly happy! Go, Granny, Go!

Veteran Posts: 163 Location: Metro Detroit | Thanks ! this one is going to stay a '57, the look has really grown on me over the '58. The tail light set up makes way more sense....

The tail light set up makes way more sense.... ***************************************************** The 57 has grown on me too. Some cars look better than others based on paint and trim, but I like them. My earliest strong Forward Look car memory is the upturned "lollipop" tail lights on a 58, so they have always been a favorite. Naturally appealing to a 2-3 year old ! Our brains work very differently at that age, but I remember thinking those lights with the upturned "stick" were so neat (the word "cool" had not yet entered my vocabulary. :bleh:) Can hardly wait to get home and work on mine !

Expert Posts: 2637 Location: Minor Hill, TN | My 1st forward look was a 1957 plymouth . I no longer have it because some idiot caused me to total her. That night I was not a happy camper and the other party is very lucky I did not see them that night . If I did I would beat the hell out of them and I would not care if there was a cop standing there I was mad enough to do it
