Veteran Posts: 217 Location: Echuca | Looks like someone out here grabbed that chopped wagon recently for sale in the US and is up for a quick flip; The wheels have been changed and certainly don't improve the look.....

Veteran Posts: 217 Location: Echuca | In victoria at least I know you have to be able to see an object on the road 8 metres ahead sitting in the rear most setting of the front seat, the windscreen height ruling was abolished so the Toyota FJ Cruiser could be sold in Australia. I would think registering this car in any state of Australia would be very tough going and would require substantial disassembly for a proper engineers inspection.

Veteran Posts: 172 Location: Newcastle, NSW AUSTRALIA | Other items required in NSW for modified cars are heater demister, seat belts for all seats this is minimum requirements...I don't think the RMS are real happy with removing the door handles makes access hard for emergency crews if you need to be rescued. I had this issue when I built a convertible for the summer nats but I said to my engineer that if we were in a accident there would be bodies everywhere as there was no roof so he signed off on it. & your right without documentation on how it was done the engineer would want to see it pulled down for inspection.

Elite Veteran Posts: 977 Location: Sydney, Australia | I only just noticed it doesn't have door handles! Are they electric? No armrest and look at the horn on the steering wheel!! Completely safe! Roof headliner and under dash need a shave. Don't know if it still stands but because the rear side windows open, I don't think those side pipes are allowed. Because of all the mods it will have to have most ADR for nowadays. NSW have got real tough but not sure about other states. I dare say the owner didn't do his homework. Although he does have other cars and motorbikes for sale.. Edited by matte 2017-03-10 4:07 PM
