Expert Posts: 1886 | I wouldn't call 65k astronomically priced. That's around fair market price for a high restored version.

Expert Posts: 2003 Location: Branson, MO | $65K is the starting bid. BIN is $85K. Maybe somewhere in between might get it? I'd drive it anyway but the new owner probably won't. Edited by Viper Guy 2017-09-12 10:20 PM

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7207 Location: Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island, Canada | At that asking price I would expect the car to have the correct seat insert material. This one has 1957 Adventurer seat material. The '56 material is different than this! This photo shows the correct material! Expert Posts: 2003 Location: Branson, MO | Indeed it is a very nice car regardless of the interior not being the '56 original. I'd be tickled pink if I owned it and would be driving it!

Steve. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1956-DeSoto-Adventurer-/112576786387?hash=i... I am missing the logic this guy is using. He got ZERO NADA ZILCH KEIN bids on the first auction at $65K so he puts it back on at $85K? What the heck? Edited by 56D500boy 2017-09-25 12:39 PM

I see the $85,000 is a BIN and he has the Make Offer button enabled. Maybe his plan is to have a buffer to accept a lower offer. That way someone could imagine they were getting a bargain? It is a gorgeous car. Possibly the best 56 Adventurer I've ever seen. I would love to own it, but it's way out of my range. Also, if it were mine, there's no way I could keep myself from driving it on every nice day. Edited by Greg P. 2017-09-25 3:35 PM
