His are engraved rather than stamped, but they look very nice and fit perfectly. I don't know if the Canadian Dodge design was different than the US version, but the dimensions would be the same and I know the guy has done custom work in the past. If interested, I can get you his phone number and photos of the ones I bought for my '56 Plymouth.

Expert Posts: 3480 Location: Montreal, Canada | 57DODGECONV - 2017-10-26 9:07 AM Thanks Gary ,I am looking for a original pair of sill plates . For your info, as far as I know, ALL canadian-built Chrysler product from 57 to 59 would have them, so they are out there, as long as they are from a two door so that they fit your convertible.. My point is, you can extend your search to Chrysler, DeSoto and Plymouth cars made in Canada too, as they all have the forward look sill plates, not only Dodges. That said, since the convertibles were actually built in the USA and exported (even the Plodges, as you know), I believe sill plates must have been similar to US Plymouth ones in this case. But I could be wrong, as so many little details are hard know about these unique cars! Edited by soiouz 2017-10-26 9:19 AM

Elite Veteran Posts: 854 | David you are correct the 58 Mayfair Convertibles I have both came with the US built Plymouth sill plates . However the Canadian built 57 Dodge Custom Royal 2 Door Hardtop I have Doesn't have the Forwardlook sill plates it has a Different design plate than the US built Dodge .I would like a pair I might use them on the Mayfair .I am not Familar with what other Canadian cars used ,Thanks .

Ok, I see. I don't know what was the rule then, because I have seen the Canadian forwardlook sill plates on a few larger cars (namely a 59 Chrysler and a 59 DeSoto). I'll keep my eyes out for them.
