Location: Branson, MO		This is a tall order but I'm serious.

I'm looking for a 1955 DeSoto 4 door sedan or two door HT Emberglow with a black top. Options are not important and even a manual trans is acceptable (actually preferred), no color sweep, but needs to be in excellent driving condition. The car needs to be original or restored to original.

It may sound strange but it's just something I have a hankering for and if there is one available, I'd like to have it.

I think that you will need to first focus on finding a decent car, independent of colour, and then go from there.

Thanks for your assistance. Yeah I know that I am asking for the sun, moon, and stars but I am in absolutely no hurry so I'm being extremely selective. If I do find the right car except for the color and the interior would go with the Emberglow and black, I might be interested enough to pull the trigger. A Firedome is actually preferred and may be easier to find the way I want it than a Fireflite.

A couple of years ago or so, an all black Firedome 4 door without the color sweep was available and would be acceptable as far as condition goes but at the time I was not in the market. I recall how elegant it looked even as a plain Jane but kinda reminded me of a funeral car being all black. I believe it sold for around $10K which is pretty fair in my opinion. Maybe something like that will pop up again - who knows?
