Just a personal preference but the stance on this car does not suit the body lines looks odd to me Edited by RUSTORICHES 2018-05-10 8:06 AM (s-l300.jpg) Attachments ---------------- s-l300.jpg (17KB - 72 downloads)

Expert Posts: 1476 Location: Pacific Northwest | I tried reaching out to the seller. No response. Skirts need to go, as do the faux wire wheel hub caps. I would've liked to have seen better angles and a lengthier description. Not everyone is a sales person I suppose.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9904 Location: Lower Mainland BC | Interesting. Advert says "VIN (Vehicle Identification Number): 22292747F" 22nnnnn = Evansville, yet the Mopar Parts Catalogue pdf suggests that the 1956 Furys were built in Detroit with 15nnnnn VINs. The "F" at the end of the 22nnnnn might be real indicating that it was a Fury built in Evansville. Chrycoman? Expert 5K+ Posts: 9904 Location: Lower Mainland BC | The plot thickens. A 56 Fury should have a 303. A 301 was a 1957 Plymouth variant of the 277. I smell a potential clone. REF: https://www.allpar.com/mopar/a-engines.html REF: http://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/plymouth/56fu/56fu.html

Expert Posts: 1476 Location: Pacific Northwest | I'm going to give the seller the benefit of the doubt on this one. Wouldn't surprise me if he just doesn't know much about it. Seller claims this to be his deceased brothers car AND he is selling a couple of Fords on the ebay as well. To not include a picture of the tach is unfortunate. Body tag would be nice to see as well.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9670 Location: So. Cal | It does appear to be a Fury dash with the tach. Notice the annoying proximity of the ignition switch to the speedometer and the other 2 switches on the annoyingly far side of the dash. Compare to a non-fury dash. But maybe the tach is MIA? You would think he would show it.
