IMO he is asking a restored price for a modified car. Restored price? A restored Fury can sell for over 75k$. Heck, I sold my own Belvedere for 37k$, and it was far from perfect. Sure, this Fury here has some flaws, but judging by the photos the seller sent (I saw them on Facebook), this looks like a very decent deal at 30k$!

Expert Posts: 3967 Location: DFW, TX | I think it looks terrific in that gold color that subtly offsets the anodized trim, and the chrome reverse wheels and lowered stance look . The Furys are great, but honestly this car looks much better this way than that paper sack beige paint with clown nose hub caps that the '58s came with. (sorry, Fury owners )

Expert 5K+ Posts: 6503 Location: Newark, Texas (Fort Worth) | Yes 58 Fury's are pretty...drab. It won't be Christine-ized. Most Christine owners/builder are cheap and also know the value of a real Fury these days. Too many Belvedere's and hardtop Savoys showing up recently.

Expert Posts: 4043 Location: Connecticut | Arizona Mopar Gold - It's legit. I emailed the seller and got a handful of photos back from him. Here is the text of his email:
THE FURY SPENT IT'S FIRST 50 YEARS IN SANTA ANA CA. I HAD IT SHIPPED TO NORTHERN CA. THE FURY WAS BUILT IN LOS ANGLES. I HAVE ALL THE HISTORY OF THE REPAIRS EVEN HAVE PICS OF THE OWNERS IN FRONT OF THEIR HOUSE AND AT CAR SHOWS WITH THE FURY. THEY KNEW WHAT THEY HAD. I BOUGHT A FURY WHEN I WAS IN COLLEGE AND RACED IT AT HALF MOON BAY DRAG STRIP IN THE DAY. SO I ALSO KNOW. ABOUT 1958 FURY'S. IT,S NOT PERFECT BUT IT'S AS CLOSE AS YOU CAN GET AFTER 60 YEARS..EVEN THE SEAT COVERS ARE UNDER THE CURRENT COVERS. I HAVE THE PHOTOCOPY OF THE BUILD CARD A BUILD RECORD CERTIFICATE. AND THE SPECIAL OWNER PLATE THAT WAS IN THE GLOVE BOX WHEN THE FURY WAS PICKED UP.
Photos need to be resized. But if you're on facebook, I posted them on the Forward Look group. You can use the search feature to find them.

Member Posts: 32 | This might be a fake ad, because there is no phone number and when you send a message through craigslist, all you get back is a forwarding "hotmail.com" email to contact the seller. Most real Craigslist ads have a phone number, and the few real sellers that do not post a phone number usually will either call you back after the initial message or message back their contact phone number. This is a fairly well-known car on this Forwardlook site, so it would be easy for someone to scrape the photos off of Forwardlook and other sites to use in a scam attempt. Expert Posts: 3967 Location: DFW, TX | Ron was able to get the owner to send him a few more pictures of the car. Maybe he has more? Member Posts: 32 | Those are all pictures I have seen on Forwardlook.net and other websites which the real owner has posted when discussing his car. The only way to answer the Craigslist ad is through the Craigslist relay system, which sent back an auto-reply of "YOU CAN REACH ME VIA my58fury@hotmail.com." I messaged via both the Craiglist relay system and this "hotmail" e-address that the seller auto-replied with, asking for an appointment to view the car, no response. I am fairly certain that this is a scam, as the photos are easy for anyone to grab online and there is no real response from this alleged seller. Also, everyone familiar with 58 Plymouths knows that a complete, non-running & rust-free 58 Fury project still needing a complete restoration will easily bring in between 25K to 30K on any day of the week, so why would an well educated seller such as this owner advertise this running and driving car for 29K?, and without using his real phone number or a legitimate email address? Doesn't make any sense.

Expert Posts: 4043 Location: Connecticut | Seller sounds legit. BUT, you NEVER buy a car sight unseen. Or at least send someone you know to check it out. I'm sure there are a few members of this group that live in the area that can check it out, if you can't get there personally. Ron

Elite Veteran Posts: 854 | You are correct about that ,for what rough 58 Plymouths not even Fury’s have sold for this car is cheap .and the Fact that it’s a 350 CID car and power windows makes it even more rare .

Member Posts: 32 | The original ad and seller are real. I messaged the member on this site who posted this car on the Member's Rides section, and he called me back directly to let me know that he still owns the car and that the car is for sale.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 8445 Location: Perth Australia | I wonder why you said his email wasn't legitimate? I have 4 email addresses, all are Hotmail I set them up years ago, never had a reason to change them As for the car, I would like it more if it was black I am glad I have seen a hardtop now with the converted roof lining as I will have to do the same for my Plymouth. It looks good, but I think the 2nd and 3rd bows may have collapsed
