Location: Park Hills, KY | Still can’t seem to make my parking brake hold. Sometimes it will, most times it won’t. I replaced the shoes a while back. Not sure if the drum is out of round. Seems like it depends on where the prop shaft is as to whether it will hold. But on eevn the slightest incline, it rolls.
Any thoughts? |

Location: Lower Mainland BC | Obvious question but you did not mention adjusting the parking brake shoes using the adjusting nut so they work better (??)

Location: So. Cal | If your drum was out-of round, it would hold better than otherwise, so that's not likely the problem. Check the adjustment and check the shoes for oil on them. If they have oil, you can try to clean them with brake clean, but will most likely need to be replaced. Change the rear seal while you are there. |

Location: Park Hills, KY | Had a mechanic Replace shoes a couple of years ago. Parking brake pedal pops out occasionally too .... not really sure what to do as I don’t have a lift to investigate. |
