Expert Posts: 1267 Location: San Antonio TX | This is gonna be interesting.... Stuck engine, some rust, stored indoors for the past 20 years. Comes with fresh fenders and other parts. Lots of work, lots of potential. Definitely in ok if not great shape for a car this rare. The 4-door parts car is toast, but probably still has some usable parts. Seller will end auction early if a local buyer purchases before the auction ends.

Expert Posts: 3967 Location: DFW, TX | While it is "all there", what is there is pretty ratty. As the ad says, it is a factory all-white Fireflite convertible with a black top, with the only non-standard options being a heater and power brakes. The TRM 643 code indicates white and gray vinyl interior, which looks to have deteriorated to "tan and beige" per the ad. Here's your chance to own "the" Forward Look car! I would bet it ends up in the capable hands of a European. (does anyone else hate seeing owners calling their car a "Fireflight"? )

The TRM 643 code indicates white and gray vinyl interior, which looks to have deteriorated to "tan and beige" per the ad. My sedan is 533 the book says gray. It's brown. I can say with great certainty that's original. My 4dr hdtp is 543 the book says gray & white. It's brown and white. Again I'm all but certain these are original. In each case I've got unrestored door panels marked with those trim codes. On the sedan I've got the factory back seat covers... brown. Notice I don't say absolutely certain. Anything and everything can happen over the years. In this case though I'm pretty sure. (does anyone else hate seeing owners calling their car a "Fireflight"? ) I know, right? Either you are the victim of autocorrect spelling or you don't know/care much about your car. I'll try and be generous and presume it's the former. Annoying in any case.

Expert Posts: 3967 Location: DFW, TX | It will cost $100k to make it a $125k car, if that's something you want to do. So I'd say $25k would be bought about right. But factor in that this is a top shelf desirable FL car, and I could see emotions taking it to $50k or close to that.

Expert Posts: 1508 Location: new york | I know of the car for years , my offer was way to low.But it needs alot of time and money spent! And the people who want these cars are not "Spring Chickens" and the other side is in 10 years whos going to want 50's cars ? There will be a glut of cars on the market , starting to see it already. Im sure not 57 DeSoto 's as they are so rare!
