Hi everyone! I need a close up photo of the stock original motor mount brackets of a '57 Firesweep with 325 v8. right and left side. I had my motor out for a tranny swap and some how have reinstalled it crooked. One side motor mount brake must be attached wrong but I cannot decide which side. Any help much appreciated! I need to see how the mount bracket attaches to the engine block mounting ears. You can send pics via text to my phone at 901 2549203. Thank you! Don

There might be part numbers stamped into the brackets. 1828 250 = rights side and 1828 251 = left side

Good luck.

The Firesweep is essentially a Dodge engine on a Dodge chassis, so any '57-'58 Dodge with a 325 motor will be the same. The mount goes behind the ears on the block on both sides of the motor.

P.S. You might ask what's up with all the cobwebs everywhere. That's just the hollywood backstage crew at work, doing their thing.

Hey guys! I got my engine in properly. NEXT PROBLEM: WHERE on earth are the TIMING MARKS on that lower pulley? Are they little dots or a short line? I'm trying to adjust the timing properly. As you all must know the 325 has no marked balancer like an LA small block engine. The pointer is there but the lower pulley is painted with black POR 15 coating and I am not seeing any mark...

Hey Powerflite, I see you are in south California? My Firesweep was originally from San Diego. Purchased by a naval guy who later moved here. I have a vintage grey wool navy blanket that was folded up in the car!
