Regular Posts: 96 Location: Meridian, MS | FOR SALE : MoPar Starter Motor. P/N: 1889295. I shipped my starter for my 1960 Dodge Dart to Kanter Auto Products to have it rebuilt. I was on a time crunch and the turnaround time for them to rebuild the starter was too long so I decided to go ahead and buy a high-torque mini starter for my '60 Dart. Kanter Auto ended up sending me an a rebuilt starter and I received it much sooner than what I originally expected. So now, I have a high-torque mini starter on my Dart and I like how quickly it rolls the engine over and I have this OEM starter that I don't have a need for anymore. When I received the OEM starter, I just took it out of the box to take pictures to put it up for sale. I'm asking $175.00 + shipping for the starter which is a little cheaper than you could get it most places. I will entertain reasonable offers as well. PM me if you need additional photos or information. If it helps with the sale, I had a similar looking 56 Dodge MDF 7006 V8 starter shipped in a USPS Medium sized flat rate box from Florida to Point Roberts WA 98281 for $15 and it took 3 days. Maximum weight for those flat-rate boxes is 70 lbs so the starter was no problem. The seller/shipper wisely decided to reinforce the box with 3/8" plywood top and bottom plus the usual styrofoam and gorilla tape. The starter arrived just fine.

Veteran Posts: 164 | As a matter of curiosity, where did you find your hi-torque starter. I bought one from a place in california-too lazy to look it up. But they are so-o-o-o superior to the originals.
