Should there be others interested in replacing their PowerFlite Transmission with a TorqueFlite, here is a bit of info for consideration before you start. 56D500boy (Dave) has an extensive thread on the subject of his experiences when swapping out his PowerFlite in his 56 D500 that you could also refer to. The attached sketch is only a length difference in the two transmissions. The Transmission (A466) I am about to use is from a 1959 Chrysler Town & Country. This requires the rear transmission mount to be relocated by the same amount as the length difference in transmissions. In this case, by 3-1/2" rearward. There is also a sketch of the bracket that welds to the frame for the Crossmember to bolt into. the Shift Cable and Push Button mechanism also changes. Dave have covered this process in his thread. As I proceed, slowly, I will add to this thread.

Del: Good stuff (the dimensions). Ones that I don't see but I will need for my "Plan Z" mount is the distances to the holes from:

1. The top of the frame rail
2. To the inside hole from the side of the frame rail

My Plan Z mock-up was just faking it

Dave. I cannot show the bolt holes as the frame is a bit wider at the new mount location. I will add these dimensions once I get a bit further along with the project.
