I'm looking for brackets for 1957 Dodge upper front bumper.

Hope somebody can help you because the 57 Dodge front bumper parts diagram isn't easy to figure out. Maybe the two 7-16-29 "Supports"??

OE Part numbers 1730 330 and 1730 331 *OR* 1730 322 and 1730 323 ??

Maybe Ralf?

I have a good set, $20 per side. A pair weighs 10.5 pounds and fits in a box 16" X 13" X 3". I don't know if it's worth the shipping cost to Finland, but if you think so PM me an address and I'll get an estimate.

Darryl: I believe that the actual PN for the grill bar supports that you have will be stamped with the part number(s). Any chance that you can post that up? I can't figure out the "Inner" and "Outer" designations in the parts book 7-16-29 listings. (See below)

Don't know if this will help any, but at the moment I have two sets of these brackets at hand. The black ones I will be installing on my wagon Thursday. The ones offered for sale, which I took off of a '57 Dodge 4-door, have part numbers fairly legible, but they do not correspond to your listing from the parts book. The black ones, which were on my '57 Dodge wagon, have one partially legible number which appears to match the list, and some other stampings. Maybe the offered set was from a CA mfd car? Also note that with the offered set the two pieces (inner and outer?) are riveted together, and on the black set they are not - no holes at all. I believe my '57 convert had the same type. That's all I know.

Darryl: I sent you PM, so let's see.
But of course it would be great to find ones little bit closer.

Thanks for posting those photos Darryl. I can't find anything regarding 1737 428 and 429 in the 55-58 Parts book either.

I doubt that California (LA) built cars would have PNs different than Detroit but who knows.

I think the main point now is whether the 1737 brackets line up with the black 1730 brackets when you stack them one on top of each other.

I agree. They look to be different lengths, unless that's just an optical illusion.

Yes they did line up, but I neglected to take a photo of that, and the black ones are now 80 miles away and installed.

Shipping cost from US seems to be ridiculous expensive.
It would be great to find these items from Europe or even Skandinavia.

$90 for USPS or an insane $353 for UPS or Fedex. All for a 16" X 13" X 3" box weighing 10.5 pounds. Ridiculous indeed. I tried.
