I am trying to find the proper blower motor for my 6 volt A/C which turns 2 fans. If I am not able to find one, I am considering installing 2 heater/defroster motors. I have the physical space to do it, but don't want to overload the electrical system.

The heater motor is physically smaller than the A/C motor. The A/C is fused for 30 amps. I haven't been able to find what the heater system fuse is.

Am I missing anything in my thinking?

You probably won't find a single fuse in a 1955 Chrysler circuit (well maybe one - for the radio). Everything else was handled with thermal circuit breakers, i.e. too much current, the bi-metal spring in the circuit breaker bends and breaks the contact with the points in the breaker until things cool down).

The PN for your 6V evaporator fans seems to be 1383840, indicating that the first time they were used was 1953 so there might be some used ones out there in wrecking yards.
