hi all.
When I drive over bumpy roads, it squeaks under the car. Like an old couch. That's a new noise. What can be the reason? LCA/UCA bushing ? Diagonal strut bushing? torsion bar? Any idea?

Normally it’s caused by dried/worn out LCA/UCA bushings. Try to spray some 556 on the UCA bushing. Most probably they will be silent until nex rainweather. It might also be the leaf spring interlayers that is worn out.

I just checked this out with a buddy. You are absolutely right Sven. A little silicone spray helped. I guess I'll have to change the UCA bushings in winter. Is there a source for polyurethane control arm bushings?

There should be poly-bushings available for the later muscle cars. Check A-bodies.
Mind that the poly-bushings WILL squeek if not greased - I had poly-bushings on my rear leaft springs, even mounted zircs, but that did only help as long as I greased them up often. Gave up and mounted OEM bushings instead.

A-body bushings do not fit. You have to make your own. Readily available Poly shackle bushings (for our cars) are a good starting point. I installed leaf spring Poly busings about 200K ago with grease and up until know they are still quiet and tight. Same is true for the front and rear Poly sway bar bushings.
