Account Suspended (Steve Hobby Alias) Posts: 3365 Location: North West Jorsey | Hi all It might be kind of interesting to have a little vote on this. As you know, I just acquired a 59 Saratoga 4 DR SEDAN! (I stand corrected.) The current color of the car is Silver/Gray like this one. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=www.firsttraderegistry.com/f... Not being fond of Silver, a color change is in order. Since the car will end up a modified stock, it will never be a competitor. OK! I looked at several color schemes as Jerseybob suggested. I saw Silver Red and Pink, some with a white accent. What color do you think I chould change it too? I was thinking of a dark blue metalic. Suggestions please. Then this will be a real FL car!

Extreme Veteran Posts: 354 Location: Louisiana | Here's a couple ideas... Light metallic green w/ a white roof--There's a '59 DeSoto pictured on page 11 of the Hershey 2003 photo album on this webpage. I think this color would translate well on the Chrysler. White with contrasting spear-Like the one seen on page 9 of the Chryslers @ Carlisle photo album. Restricting the color to the spear and the edges of the roof give a very unique effect. Metallic blue would look good. A copper or gold color would work too. Good Luck! Justin

Is it in the Archives by chance? OK everyone. Light Matalic Green with white trim is on the list with Dark Metalic Blue with white trim. Gold too> Ahh too close to silver, but good idea. I am going to take some pictures when it get's here and do some color concepts on the computer. Edited by 62chrysler 2004-04-25 7:04 PM

Elite Veteran Posts: 1111 Location: Ocala, Florida | I'd go with the light metallic green and white combo too. the white could have some pearlcoat in it for some diversity. Also could do the roof silver for a special tri-tone effect. (I like green, so I am a little biased here)

Member Posts: 42 | SILVER,GRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Drive real slow with a cigar in left hand hanging out the window. You are royalty and drive the car that proves it! While you are at it, try to trace the pedigree on this fine old girl ;-)

Kicking that combo with a either white of silver accent. Best wait until the ride get's here so I can get a decent picture of it and do this right. I want to thank everyone for the input.
