I am not sure if the part number was stamped on the wheels or not, but if you have some Imperial wheels from a 55 or 56 Imperial with the 5.5" bolt circle, could you check and report back? (Please) Thanks in advance. The result will be in a D500 post that I will be doing soon.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9939 Location: Lower Mainland BC | jboymechanic - 2020-01-15 11:02 AM Standard steel wheels or wire wheels? Sorry. Steel. Either or both of the vented or non-vented as shown below: (1950-51-52-53-54-1955-1956-ChryslerImperial5x5point5Wheel.jpg) (1956-ChryslerImperialCrownShowingThe5x5point5wheels.jpg) (VentedImperialWheel.jpg) (1956-ChryslerImperialLimo_VentedWheels_2.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 1950-51-52-53-54-1955-1956-ChryslerImperial5x5point5Wheel.jpg (224KB - 246 downloads) 1956-ChryslerImperialCrownShowingThe5x5point5wheels.jpg (181KB - 236 downloads) VentedImperialWheel.jpg (62KB - 217 downloads) 1956-ChryslerImperialLimo_VentedWheels_2.jpg (230KB - 236 downloads)

Expert Posts: 2196 Location: Muskego, WI | My steel wheels are mounted on my parts car, which is buried under a mountain of parts at my dad's house. Doubt I will be able to get a part number any time soon.

I guess that I am hoping that somebody (anybody?) can confirm that the C73 solid(ish) Imperial (and S23 and C71 and C72 Estate Wagon) 15 x 6 x 5.5 in bolt circle wheels are PN 1633 066 and that the C70 Crown Imperial ventilated wheels are PN 1633 073. These numbers show up in both my 56 Chryco hardcopy and 56 Mopar pdf parts catalogues. Expert Posts: 2196 Location: Muskego, WI | C-70 = limo, those used the vented wheels. This would suggest that 1633073 is the vented wheel. C-73 = Imperial, those used solid wheels or wire wheels. This would suggest that 1633066 is the solid wheel. It's strange that the parts catalog would list the same part number for wheels between Chrysler and Imperial as the Imperial has the larger bolt pattern and wheels don't interchange.

Agree with the 1633 066 = solid, C73 Imperial and 1633 073 = Vented, C70 Crown Imperial (8 passenger). Have another look at the 1633 066 cross-overs to Chrysler (and Desoto). It's only for the S23, C71 and C72 Estate Wagons, which were apparently deemed heavy duty, and got the 5.5" bolt circle wheels, just like the C73 Imperials.
