Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | Here is a suggestion how new exhaust flanges can be made from scrap iron. I started with 2 pieces of flat iron bought from a local scrap-yard for approximately $5. The center hole was machined out with my lathe, adapted to the exhaust tube flanges. The left side is made out of 10mm thick iron, but the right side is made out of 15mm iron, for to allow the butterfly valve to operate freely. The outer contours where roughly cut with an angle grinder and then filed to the final shape. I could have used the old flanges from my single exhaust system, but I didn't want to cut it up - rather save it as a reference. I could have bought the flanges ready made, but then I would not had the fully turn able seal system.
