looking for a nice black dash pad for 1956 desoto, or a contact for a repro one if they have ever been reproduced.
Thanks Geoff

1956 Desoto never had a dash pad.

Wrong, mine has one too.

Just get a new one from RD Autoline in Sweden.

I don't see a listing for a padded dash in the parts book for 56 Desoto. There's nothing in the link you provided. Maybe a picture would help ?

TBH, this looks like a custom addition. I messaged David Frank from the Desoto Club to see if he can confirm or deny.

OK. I heard back from David. Yes, a dash pad was available in '56. I'm trying to find out if it was a mid-year addition or right from the start.

Yes, its an original untouched 56 adventurer that i have with a badly aged pad. I have spoken to Tony in Sweden but they have no template for them,
maybe not a high demand item ? A search on goggle does show a number of 56 desotos with pads , all in one color black irrespective of interior/exterior color
combinations. OEM trim P/ns seem almost impossible to find as a reference too.
