Following up on leads for parts for my '57 Dodges and found these...
The white one is on property long abandon with no help from the neighbors as to who owns it.
The 2 tones owner has been collecting parts for a couple of yrs. He is now retired and ready to start this spring...
It is nice to see more '59 Dodges making a showing. Did you tell him about our group of misfits on this site???

SO I spotted this 1968 MGB on the way home from Church on Sunday. Miraculously the guy was not killed. He entered the highway the wrong way down an Off-Ramp and proceeded driving at high speed northbound in the southbound lane, then struck the Aerostar head-on. He had been cited 2 times the evening before for violations, and other witnesses reported him at a hi-way rest stop with the drivers door open, the engine running and himself climbing an Indian Totem-Pole at the rest stop. Very bizarre, he is in hospital and later to be transferred to the Psych Ward!

'69 MGB, you can tell by the reflector over the rear wheel, that was '69 only and not found on the '68 which was the first Mk 2 MGB, and '69 was last yr for the old style rear lenses... we've had several '68/69s and just sold our '70 2 yrs ago. The MGB unit body was one of the strongest of that era, especially for an open car, they were criticized for being too heavy at the time. Glad this nut case at least lived, maybe it knocked some sense into him?

Kit car but I don't know what it is yet. It's still there over a week ago when I last went by it here in Polk County FL.

You want to see this guy live ? Why, so he can be a danger to the public, a burden upon taxpayers ?

Please, embrace Darwin and welcome the self-removal from the gene pool process ! I have no interest
in seeing this clown kill or maim others, or pay a single dime to his incarceration/disability as our "save
the weak" politicos are wont to do.

I looked at the Bradley cars but not one of them. Looks like a mix of different cars I have seen so for like the coyote from the series without the light covers, slightly in some ways the Bradley, one of those FiberFab cars and many others I can't think of.

It's a generic knockoff of a whole breed of GT cars from the mid-60s to early 70s.

A good example would be the McLaren M6GT from 1969.

Well, I suppose the bright side is that you could buy just about any FL in great shape for little money in the 1970s!

Anyways, before the winter storm hit, I snapped this photo in a parking lot of a shopping plaza. It occurred to me how the streets
used to be littered with these Chevy pickups (in the South, anyways). It seemed every lot or every other driveway had a '60-66
C10 parked there. Now, it is a rare thing to see one, so rare I took a photo!

This one is probably a 64 or 66.

Joakim, the blue 1960 New Yorker convertible you posted further up was here in British Columbia, Canada last year, and sold on Ebay. Made it to Sweden already!!
The air cleaner snorkel is facing the wrong direction!! It should point toward the right front slightly or to the left front if you are looking at it from the front of the car.
There are locator tabs on the housing to mate with the carb.
This photo of the engine was downloaded from the Ebay auction here last year.

GM has a history of making good looking trucks. At least pre-78. These were exceptionally good
looking. Clean, simple lines, very appropriate for the times. Ford had a good run from 61-66 too.

Good photos! It's still fun to snap photos of old cars still on the road.

Here's two I snapped recently:
First, a nice Plymouth Barracuda rag-top in downtown Macon, the front tag says 'Rock-n-Roll'.

Second is a used but nice Eldorado rag-top I spotted this morning in Forsyth, GA.

Matthias, do you know, or can you find out (via the PNT codes) whether that 56 CR sedan is OEM white-over-red, or not?

Mostly-or-all red painted Dodges are rare finds.

Think about this, y'all: when was the last time you saw a REAL mostly-or-all red painted 56-59 Dodge????

Think I've seen two REAL all-red, surviving, 57 Dodges, ever....

A couple more from my out and about this morning. Both spotted in north Macon, GA.

First, sorry for the distance, but the traffic lights prevented me getting too close to this spotless black '57 Thunderbird.
In my opinion, the best looking T-bird of all time. (not too shabby for a Ford)

The second photo is a '61 Impala. Even the Chebbys had style back then.
Note the chebby driver is alone.

Oh, I guess I don't know my newer cars. Should have asked my pop. Dam, they all looked alike by then, 'cept for Mopars.

By 70, they were closing the gap to everyone making the same, ugly jelly bean. There were a
few holdouts and exceptions, but by-and-large, most cars looked like the same turd with different
stickers on them.

A 1964 Canadian built Valiant, which is a Dart with a Valiant clip bolted on. They were sold at both Dodge and Plymouth dealers, and not branded either a Plymouth or Dodge. Starting in 67 Canada got both Valiants and Darts.

This particular car was owned for years in the 90s and early 2000s by a private court-server, who used this for the business to serve documents.

Oh c'mon Ian, everybody knows this is the "real" Valiant, and Chrysler wimped out and put the Dart front end on it for the U.S. market..........

Si Senor!
I live in north Macon, my shop is in Juliette.
There are a few FLs around town, most happen to be in my yard!

If you see one around 5:00am or 6:00pm, it's probably me going to or coming home from work!

Next time you come up, let me know and I'll show you my collection.

An ordinary Volvo before on our streets, now sees them not as often. Especially station wagon.
Many have been exported to Europe, Holland, Germany ..... last 15 years

Pete

Based on the fender emblem, it is a '66. I have a '66 long bed which I still drive frequently. There are still quite a few around here, both hobby vehicles and work trucks.

K.
