That D-500 emblem is really neat on the 1960's. I had seen plenty of 56-59 cars with their respective D-500 emblems, and even a 61, but it wasn't until fairly recently I saw a 60. It is really different.. Thanks Ian.

Location: Bjorneborg, Finland | Another D500 emblem.. Why some '60 Matadors and Polaras have 'rocket fire holes' on rear bumper like below car and others have plain bumper like above car in the first picture?

| Ian: Where did you find/see that blue Polara? That is without a doubt about the best looking '60 Dodge that I have ever seen! Do you know who owns it? My Matador 2-door hardtop will look very similar except that it is Turquiose with a white roof. I hope I can get to look half this good!! |

The 'rocket fire holes' were the optional rear bumper guards.

Location: bishop, ca | SID: the top pic is of a Wisconsin Collector Car license plate (or, at least: it sure LOOKS like one!!)
Aivar Lejins (since he has permitted me to 'drop' his name) has a 60 Matador 2-dr HT, in this SAME color.
Aivar retro-fitted the "fin-lights" of a Polara onto his Matador (just as appears in the pic, but Aivar's is not a D500.)
I should know, but can't recall, if Aivar retro-fitted the rear-trim, onto his car (think that he DID do that, though).
Aivar's Matador will be shown, in the "Exhibition" class, at Pebble Beach, in August.
