Expert Posts: 4042 Location: Connecticut | Jim Hoek - 2010-07-06 3:41 PM Wow! To me, that looks like a Custom Royal with a badge on the fuel door, which would have to conclude to a D500. But the engine bay doesn't look like it... Single 4bbl carb, not dual quads. Two things to notice in the assembly line pic: note build sheet hanging on inside of hood. Also hood pad, which is almost never seen in restorations. I bid on this one. But forgot about it and was outbid in the last minute. If someone on the list won this auction, please PM me. I'd like a high-res scan for my literature collection. Ron

Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | Since nobody's pointed this out, yet, Pete's pic, above, "58plywgncalijpg" was taken at the very famous intersection of Hollywood Blvd. & Vine St. , in Hollywood, CA. And, in the above-earlier production line photograph of the 59 Dodges, the Line Supervisor appears to be looking intently at the subject car's Broadcast Sheet; he doesn't appear to be doing any actual work, at the right front corner of the car. Also, all of the cars in the photo, with their hoods' raised, have fiberglass hood insulators installed, which indicates that those cars also have the Undercoating option on them. Looks like a run of 4-door sedans was being made at the time the photo was taken. Edited by d500neil 2010-07-14 5:30 PM

The baby in the photos is my wife Thelma....she is now 47 and we have her dads second 57C that he bought in Kansas in 1964 or so as he just had to have another 300C........I thought you may like to see these photos..........Thanks Rusty and Thelma Roe in Hermiston, Oregon.
