Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, MS. Look for the light blue '59 Plymouth sedan, most likely a Belvy.

I thought the clear steering wheel first appeared on 1960 model cars ???? No ?

Jim Haprian's '59 Fury steering wheel, from Dan Morton's excellent 1959 Sport Fury website. Take it all in, Doc.

From the information I have gathered, this picture was taken on October 25th, 1957, after the Gambino crime family boss, Albert Anastasia, was murdered in the barber shop of the Park Sheraton Hotel on 56th Street and 7th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. You can clearly see the 57' Plaza parked outside the hotel.... And what about that car in front of it buried in the crowd? Looks like a Dodge.

This Belvy doesn't have the Sportone trim panel between the chrome trim moldings, otherwise it would look like a few survivor '59s I've seen on this forum.

Publix is a supermarket chain based in central Florida. They've been expanding into neighboring states such as Georgia and the Carolinas in recent years, but their legacy is throughout all of Florida. One of these early stores was in St. Petersburg, but to you FL partisans currently in Florida, where are these Publix stores at?

Doc, sorry, I don't have any location info. In the center February 3, 1960 pic, 3 "Dodge-trained mechanics" found it quicker swapping out 3.31, 3.91, and 4.55 rears, rather than center sections, in this 2X4 ram inducted 4dr Dart. (HRM May '60)

As far as that 61 Seneca D500, above, is concerned, IIRC, of the 20 Seneca Rammies that were built, this one is one of only
three of them that had a stick-shift in it.

The other two were a red one (reviewed/seen in Motor Life & Hot Rod) and a black one that was sent to the East Coast
Field Office (right?).....
