Hmmm... top pic has a Vauxhall Victor and either a Morris Oxford or Austin A60 side by side, though the BMC thing could be a Wolseley 15/60 or an MG Magnette.

Second one I see two vastly different Fiats on non-standard running gear, a later model Victor in the distance obscured by a 100E Prefect and this side of a Morris Minor panel van and an early Vanguard station wagon. There's a part of a Mini there on the left, too.

Lower one has the usual VW beetle, a Dauphine and an 105E Anglia, but what's that black wagon over in the shade of the tree?

There's simply not enough detail to tell with the white car, but either of your suggestions could be right...

On the black wagon, I'd lean more in the direction of an A50/A55 I think. Same mechanical package, anyway!

Who is this man?

William Paul Shelley Jr. graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 1939. He practiced law in Tallahassee where he was active in both community and professional organizations.

After concluding his four-year service in the U.S. Army, Shelley worked in Washington, D.C., as the administrative assistant to U.S. Sen. Spessard L. Holland. Shelley served as vice chairman of the Florida Bar Legislative Committee in 1967-68. A life member of the Reserve Officers Association, Elks, Kiwanis Club and Kiwanis International, his leadership has had a significant impact in his community. After reaching the 50-year membership in the Florida Bar, he became an inactive member.

Shelley has dedicated his support to University of Florida. He served as president of the University of Florida National Alumni Association 1957-58, and was a 1973 recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award.

Nope, he didn't quite make it to 100.....

William Paul Shelley, Jr., a life-long Floridian, was born on December 3, 1914 at Telogia, Liberty County, Florida to William Paul and Pauline (Lavender) Shelley. Shelley died at the age of 92 in Tallahassee, Florida on February 4, 2007.

What color is the side trim, on that car? Green? ( I know: it appears to be 'gray').

Yeah, I thought the wagon was a Plymouth...

And the Valiant would have been from the FL era, why not count it?

The 60-61 Valiants and the 61 Lancers ARE Forwardlookers.... just as the 62 CHRY's and the 62-63 IMP's are "not"
(officially) FWDLK'ers!

The 61 PLY's don't have fins, either.

I have to agree with "1960Fury",The 60-61 valiants and lancers are not forward look cars. They were made during the forward look era,but contradict the Forward Look design philosophy.

Nope,I didn't say that either. While those cars are technically de-finned versions of forward look body styles they don't have fins and since they don't have fins I don't consider them forward look cars either.

You're more than welcome to think of valiants and lancers as forward look cars because they were made during the "forward look" timeframe, but they dont share the same aesthetic.I simply stated that I agree with "1960Fury".

Actually, I agree with both Mark & 60-DesAdv; the Valiants & Lancers do not appear to be FWDLK models, but, by "birth"
ARE to be designated as FWDLK'ers...just as the 62-63 CHRY's/IMP's are not "officially" FWDLK'ers, altho deserve to
be FWDLK'ers....it's just that the Valiants & Lancers should not be discriminated against, because they WERE built during
the time period 1955 -1961.

I don't disagree, the Valiants have many FL styling cues and the front end looks like a mini 1960 Chrysler.

Swimsuits 50's style

Man,you always find good photos "Hemidave"!
The girl on the right almost looks like a manequin though, the way she's leaning against the car and how her arms are posed.

Thanks 1960Desoto, btw, the girls do not look too happy.

The girl in the black swimsuit is looking downward and is probably wishing she had some black high heels to wear for the photo!

OK; 60DesAdv; when I post up, here, a lot of 62 CHRY, and 62-63 IMP photos, I will expect to receive your full
endorsement and support, for, those cars "are" FWDLK, right?

Nope,I didn't say that either. While those cars are technically de-finned versions of forward look body styles they don't have fins and since they don't have fins I don't consider them forward look cars either.
You're more than welcome to think of valiants and lancers as forward look cars because they were made during the "forward look" timeframe, but they dont share the same aesthetic.I simply stated that I agree with "1960Fury".

I don't consider Valiants and Lancers FL to the point of their styling, but I do consider the 62-63 Imps as FL as they still have fins, albeit the fins are cut down, but they ARE there.
As to the 62 Chrysler itself, its debatable - all 1962 Chryslers came with Forward Look Logo Keys from factory. And IF you are going to include de-finned 1961 Plymouths as
FL - and this site DOES include them, then you MUST include the 62 Chrysler by default, and the 62-63 Imperials. Just my 2 cents

I'll see your 2 cents and raise ....

No greater argument could be made against the 62's NOT being Forward Look than
Virgil Exner himself disdainfully referring to them as "plucked chickens".

Of course, opinions are like axxholes. I just put a little more value on the opinion of
Virgil Exner. But that's just me.

Love that Minnesota picture!!
That's got to be the Richard Bong Memorial bridge, I believe
Taken from the Duluth side looking across to the Superior WI side.

Bong was a famous WWII p-38 pilot that was in on the Yamamoto shoot down mission.
Survived the war and went into the test pilot program where he died in a plane crash.
