"Sweden in 1971 Plymouth?" I luv ur language! It's tight parkering, such a 'raggarbilen'..

Here is one representative car of Finnish Army in 1959. Looks like the bottom of body was painted in lighter color, an odd combination. Never used those larger stone shields in America?

Note how the lower grille opening is blocked off in a similar color material. Could the
item looking like a license plate possibly explain what is going on here ? This is a Fireflite,
denoted by the crest and "V" over the side trim bar on the front fender. Yet this car does
not wear the lower "sweep" trim that I believe was installed on ALL Fireflites (Ed, correct
me if I am wrong, please). This is quite the odd car.

It's possible, that this is a same car as above, by new in Berner car show (Feb '57). Maybe they later painted only upper part of body by black and left factory paint on lower side.. I think single color Fireflite sedans came w/o sweep trim, but not 100 sure.. The lic plate belongs to Army.. (SA-**)

while "Illinois" just pulls up images of cold and wet and heavy skies and more cold ?

Been through Illinois in the summer and their idea of hot is about as pleasant as their idea of cold !

Anyone notice the two Canadian Pontiacs in this pic? Not wide track. The 59 is the top line Parisienne, similar to Bonneville but on a Chebby frame / chassis. The 63 Pontiac next to itlooks like a low line Strato-Chief or mid-line Laurentian.

It would be if somehow we could go back to the California of the late 50's or early 60's. nice weather doesnt make up for the scummy modern day people and their attitudes,or the $4.39 gas prices.

Looks like Snoqualmie Pass looking west. The old pass road is still there, but the interstate
passes on the back of the buildings now, so few see it. Of course, with little traffic, most of
the buildings are gone. Classic shot.

That is definitely New Orleans, but I don't think that is Bourbon St. Unfortunately, I am not sure what street it might be. I think this might be down closer to the river, on one of the streets running parallel to Bourbon. Great pic!

Looks like it was shot in July 1966, see the top of the photo.

Look at the home made patches over the rocker panels and rear quarter panel...looks like someone
screwed on some stainless steel type trim over the rust holes.

Is it just me, or do others see a window left up when the top is down and immediately

imopar380 - 2012-03-10 9:22 PM Looks like it was shot in July 1966, see the top of the photo. Look at the home made patches over the rocker panels and rear quarter panel...looks like someone screwed on some stainless steel type trim over the rust holes.

Do those dates on photos actually indicate the original shooting date, off of the negative?
Or is it the date the photo was (re)printed?

That is NOT Central City, Colorado ! Kansas, maybe, but not Colorado !

No matter where you look in Central, a large mountainside will be filling the background.
