Location: Bjorneborg, Finland | "Sweden in 1971 Plymouth?" I luv ur language! It's tight parkering, such a 'raggarbilen'.. Here is one representative car of Finnish Army in 1959. Looks like the bottom of body was painted in lighter color, an odd combination. Never used those larger stone shields in America? Location: Parts Unknown | Note how the lower grille opening is blocked off in a similar color material. Could the item looking like a license plate possibly explain what is going on here ? This is a Fireflite, denoted by the crest and "V" over the side trim bar on the front fender. Yet this car does not wear the lower "sweep" trim that I believe was installed on ALL Fireflites (Ed, correct me if I am wrong, please). This is quite the odd car.

Location: Bjorneborg, Finland | It's possible, that this is a same car as above, by new in Berner car show (Feb '57). Maybe they later painted only upper part of body by black and left factory paint on lower side.. I think single color Fireflite sedans came w/o sweep trim, but not 100 sure.. The lic plate belongs to Army.. (SA-**) (Brnrflite3.jpg) Attachments ---------------- Brnrflite3.jpg (16KB - 197 downloads)

Is it just me, or do others think sunny and warm when the name "California" is read or spoken, while "Illinois" just pulls up images of cold and wet and heavy skies and more cold ? Been through Illinois in the summer and their idea of hot is about as pleasant as their idea of cold !

The 59 is the top line Parisienne, similar to Bonneville but on a Chebby frame / chassis. The 63 Pontiac next to itlooks like a low line Strato-Chief or mid-line Laurentian.
