I'm glad I grabbed it before it disappeared because I liked it.

The image was a stylized wallpaper of a 59 DeSoto convertible, looking across a river at what appeared to be Dubai, or some modern Middle Eastern city.

There was one that wasn't... it doesn't appear to be here any more!

Uh... yeah... one with a modern city in the background.

NICE!

The art-guy should have photo-chopped-out that construction derrick, though.

I'm wondering if the license plate was photoshopped in or if that's what they really look like.

White Rose

What a great picture, thanks for posting it!

Taken in Toronto and the Plymouth on the lift sporting bumper wings (which were not available as an accessory in Canada), this is either an american citizen visiting Canada or one of the very few 1958 Fury imported in Canada. The colour of the car and the Ontario license plate suggest the latter, which makes this picture a pretty unique view!

As a kid I once saw a 57 or 58 Fury in my neighbourhood, complete with the bumper wings!! I was captivated with that car, probably a 57 as I'm sure it was white, not beige. It was probably around 1964, and from my recollection it looked mint.

I am surprised no one made mention of the Imperial in this photo. For 56, Canadian market
Imperials used a 53 Chevy body and trim with the special gunsight Imperial tail lights. Very
rare car. Be sure to ask Ian or Bill about this one.

(Photo directly above)
Actually, they're both Dodges. Look closely at the front fender of the one closest, I think they're both Canadian Dodge Regents or Crusaders.

In Re; the "Forwardlook House" thread, if anyone still wonders why real estate is pricey, in CA, please compare and contrast
the two above "winter" photos.

BTW, wherever the 'snowy' photo was taken, they are spelling out :"Pharmacie" on that building.

"Pharmacie" is how it's spelled in French speaking countries, so perhaps that snowy photo is from Quebec or another French-Canadian town.

The "no parking" sign is also in French. That piece of equipment is a "normal" sized snow shovel in Quebec!

The '55 Dodge pic with the three guys is really neat. Dated Dec. '62, it looks like it was a pretty well cared for used car. Probably one of those three boys' pride and joy. Noticed it's wearing '61 Dodge spinner caps and new for '62 skinny whites.

The 1955 Dodges have 15" wheels.

I wonder if those are not aftermarket wheel covers, or, whether the 14" 1961 Dodge wheel covers have been modified/adapted
to fit to the 15" wheels?
