Ha - I used to love that Niagara Falls Museum when I was a kid, with its two-headed calf, and five-legged cow, and such.

(I think they are still there. )

Nice Imperial too.

Hahaha, I'm not sure; aspects of some of the displays at that Museum were a bit dicey.

That gorgeous red 59 Pontiac convert. towing the boat a couple of pics above is likely a Canadian "Parisienne" with a 283 and Powerglide, and a Chevy narrow track.
On the exterior the Parisienne looked like a Bonneville, but the engine, trans and frame were Chevrolet.
It could have also been equipped with a 261 CID Six cyl. truck engine, which was what was in my parents 59 Pontiac Laurentian.

PIM - deep look, windows are down.. and it was a wet weather! A big mistake.

Damm, in my last pic there seems to be something blocking the camera's view of a stunning... '61 Imperial LeBaron.

Doesn't look like a good neighborhood. Hubcaps are gone already, and the Shivvy is probably a new (or close to new) car.

Just re-posting the photo; above.

Presuming that the mega-buk IMP is going to receive some serious water damage during its
transit, the car hauling company will probably incur some significant contractual property damage
liability for same, because its driver(s) will have signed-off for their carried-cars' having been delivered
to them in good condition, at the factory (including having their openings being properly closed).

The dealership will be righteously pissed-off to find that that IMP traveled X-miles to them, with its
windows down, and should refuse to accept the car unless the carrier acknowledges that it transported
the car with the windows down.

Now, suppose that Mr. driver(s) later observe the window deficiencies and connect the battery and key,
and raise the windows before they arrive at the dealership.

If the dealership accepts delivery of the car, and THEN discovers the interior damage, then both the
factory and the carrier will say tough-shhit, the car was OK when you accepted/signed-for it.

Odd picture....full wheel covers installed, exterior mirror, and antenna on the back Imperial (though maybe power?). Usually those were all installed by dealer?

Dealership personnel are supposed to inspect the cars before they sign off on them- unless it's a night drop and you have (I believe) 24 hours to report any transit damage.

When I was working at a CP dealership in '64, we received a red Fury 2-door hardtop with the windshield and bucket seats missing and glass all over the carpet. The transport driver had picked it up from the rail yard in that condition. I still wonder how the car was driven to the upper level without any seats....??

It wasn't really uncommon to have new cars arrive with broken windows, and most were from tie down chains dropping from above.

That Imperial might have had the windows broken out by thieves, but it doesn't explain the hubcaps, unless Chrysler had a different shipping policy at the time, because I don't recall ever receiving new cars with hubcaps installed or the doors unlocked. The hubcaps were always locked in the trunk and the driver kept the keys in his truck until they were unloaded.

This may not be what we think ....

Perhaps a dealer was moving some of his stock across town to a special promotion venue or something
similar ???

At one time in Canada all drinking establishments had separate entrances for men and women. Ladies who had escorts used the one marked that way, while a guy without a woman had to use a door marked Men. It was apparently law at one point in history, read more here. http://hotelhistories.blogspot.ca/2011/07/ladies-and-escorts-saskat...
