Account Suspended Posts: 2827 Location: At "The Rock" in upper East Tennessee | I live on a 25 Acre farm that my wife and I don't farm. It gets the hay mowed twice a year and thats it. It does however have a pond, creek, a nice place to hike and it has both flat and hilly lind both wooded and clear. I have been thinking that it would be nice to have a once a year "Mopar Camp and Cruise" Let people come down on Friday and stay 'till Saturday about 4pm when would cruise over to the Morristown Cruise in and then disperce afterward. On Friday night have live music, a bonfire, and just some good old southern high times If you are interested post so here and if you know anyone who would be interested let it be known. Iam thinking about gunning for the last Cruise in saturday the happens in October of 2008. That way it won't be too hot or cold. There would be like a small $5.00 charge for adults to cover the cost of a couple of Port-O-Pottys and TP. It would of course be BYOB, and food I might be able to find a local fire Dept that would sell burgers or something but I think it would be cooler to truly 'camp" Edited by 58Donnie 2007-08-23 1:06 PM

lawrence - 2008-04-05 9:43 PM Wow that would be cool M'Lisa. I'd surely go then. Here's another reason to go to TN for your honey moon. "The Lost Sea". There's Plenty O' Stuff to do around here... that's for sure. Especially in the Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge area. Let me know if y'all choose to head this way. I may be able to help you find some cool things to see. Lost Sea is neat... If you're into cave tours, there are several others around here, too. Ruby Falls in Chattanooga, Tuckaleechee Caverns in Townsend (Near Gatlinburg), or Forbidden Caverns (where I got my first job)... It's also located near Pigeon Forge. Lots of great roads around here to go cruisin' on, too. -NM

Elite Veteran Posts: 755 Location: Big M Automotive's Yard | As of right now we are only taking 2 weeks off and will take rt66 and the southern route to start. After staying for a couple of days in Tennessee, we will head north to Indiana (my family is there) and then head west and try to visit as many FLs as we can. This is still in the planning stages, but we will kepp you in contact when we know which way we're going. M'

Elite Veteran Posts: 755 Location: Big M Automotive's Yard | Donnie, Are you still planning on having the camp out? John and I are planning on coming out there to meet you and everyone else in the area. I need to know what weekend this will be happening so I can schedule my time off. Either PM John or reply on this thread. We will be driving out in the Sierra Wagon. M'Lisa

Extreme Veteran Posts: 331 Location: Northern North Carolina | It's a great idea. It's a good 700-mile round trip for me, so I wouldn't be able to attend (or at least, wouldn't be able to bring either of my cars, and I am sooo burnt out on attending car events with no car)...but still, a fun idea. One of my other hobbies is rockhounding, and some of our rockhound folks do this exact thing--- camp, cookout, hangout for a weekend, set up a couple of portapotties. Use the farm as a "home base" and then go from there to the nearby mines or dig sites. They've been doing it at least annually for years.
