Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13054 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | Thanks Bill, I really appriciate your help. The original colour LK2 was a little surprise to me, I thought that I had Alaskan White for the roof with Ivy Green on the car - this based on a note in the Operating and Maintenance Guide (this explains why the note also says 305 hp) -now I understand that that guide was from an other car - a Windsor. This also explains the slighty different colour tone in the door pillars, thrunk and engine compartment. Now the only thing that puzzles me is the interior colour - do you know if the dashboard had the same colour as the body of the cars? Because I'm almost sure that the colour on the dashboard is in fact Bluegrass. Again thanks a lot! Sven

Thanks Sven | ||

Thanks Sven N = Heater/Defroster/AC 5 : 315 - Front Heater / Defroster T = Radio 2 : 422 Astrophonic Radio Y = ?? 8 : ?? Not sure what Y represents, but below are the sales codes that I know of that end in 8 - 298 - Power (vacuum) door locks 348 - Flite-Sweep deck lid 388 - Vanity mirror 588 - Undercoating with underhood pad Any of them fit? By the way, Alaskan White over Ivy Green Metallic is WG2.

Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13054 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | Thanks again Bill! There is 2 things that fits; A) Most probably the vanity mirror (there was old impressions when I got the car but then the mirror was missing - now I've got another mirror) B) Undercoating (? can see some remains?) with underhood pad (yes that's there) But then again, I miss one option that is sport tone (de luxe) trim for the side trims, that's still a riddle for me. Regards, Sven

Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | Sven, if your car was factory-undercoated, there should be a lot of evidence of its application, on the undercarriage/floor pans. A factory-undercoated car did NOT get any undercoating applied to its frame rails; the body-pan was undercoated before the body was 'dropped' onto the assembled chassis----undercoating on the frame-rails indicates that that material was applied sometime after the car was built.

Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13054 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | Now I checked the undercoating Neil! It's a bit strange, but it seems to have been laid only on the rear part of the car - only under the subframe, but not at the floor boards under the subframe. The undercoating is the same "gunk" that I found on the floor in the car. So both possibilities is plausible - factory or after delivery. Then as I said erlier, I DO have the underhood pad.

Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | Sven, can you get your car onto a lift, & post some ics of its undercarriage condition? Clive Reeve (Rebels 59 on this site) can post jpegs that are sent to him by non-nerds (like me) who don't know how to post pics.

C4 L8 X3 Really puzzled by this I have concluded that the C is Power Equipment and 4 stands for 294 - power windows. The rest is still totally unclear
