Swedish Police is so brutal! I can only wish I had a hair like the guy in the second photo - he looks like Elvis.

I have a picture of Finnish Police being brutal, having American cars in the old days wasn't easy... I try to find the pic...

Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island		Yes Cedric, those where the days - if you look close, the guy have a bloody nose (I think he asked for it though)! And the hairdo is just great - that's what half a kilo of Brylcreme and an aluminium cam could do.

Location: Bjorneborg, Finland		This Finnish cop in a '60 DeSoto Diplomat just noticed some raggare on the street and photographer failed to take fourth pic in the series leaving him eating dust, because cops slammed gas pedal to the floor and they vanished from the scene right away..

For those of you that can manage to read Swedish, I really can recommend the book;

Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island		Basically a fellow that loves American Cars, American Music and Hard Partying. The word raggare comes from the word "ragga" in Swedish, which is slang for picking up someone (girls). Often, those fellows form gangs or more like clubs today. The main thing is to cruise the streets, while heavy partying in their cars and pick up girls. In the old days, raggare where considered "scum of the earth" and constantly chased by the cops. We where not so bad really, I know, since I was there - we just wanted to have a good time.

Location: northern germany		How I miss these days, born in the 60s, I was a little late, yet, the original Greasers were still alive, ok, some of them at least, "live fast and die young" was not just a phrase to them, it was their destiny.....
