Is always a risk of leakage of gas when the test starts. Someone fire, I would not have in the garage

Anyone know offhand if the stock two barrel air filter base of a 55-56 Dodge will fit the circle of the 4 barrel Carter? Expert Posts: 2596 Location: Upplands Väsby, Sweden | FURY - 2009-03-01 11:28 PM I piled myself, Michelle and 3 friends into the Fury, and took a spin over to a buddy's house in the afternoon, drank a few beers while looking at his 58 Fury and 2 Cadillacs in the garage (1 an Eldorado Biarittz Convertible...), called into a local restaurant on the way home, sat outside in the Autumn evening and ate our meals 4 feet away from the Fury. Coming up 600 miles on the clock now, and it's really starting to feel like driving a brand new car rather than a bunch of bolted together parts! Just started to rain as we pulled into the driveway at home, after a great day out in the sun! Glenn. 57 Fury. Looks great afternoon, Nice Cars

Expert Posts: 3480 Location: Montreal, Canada | Didn't do anything to my car today, but sure did something for my car!! I picked these guys up at FedEx: Brand new Goodyear Custom Super Cushion 750X14 2 1/4 whitewall tires!! Ordered them from Kelsey Tires last week. I've had WONDERFUL service from Kelsey Tires all the way: friendly and helpful staff, good prices, excellent communications, just a great experience and I warmly recommend doing business with them. Now I can't wait to try my car with its new shoes on!

Elite Veteran Posts: 1049 Location: Auckland, New Zealand. | Well at the risk of sparking up the age old debate about original equipment versus "better" equipment (that is usually manufactured in China) from a few members, I can honestly say that these tires handle exactly how I want them to, and look exactly like the tires that Chrysler installed on these cars on the production line, and that is all I am after. I have had mine up to 100mph and they have not flown apart and killed me yet...

The old plugs. I have a feeling they were in there a while. I don't think number 5 was firing much One of the plug boots. They pretty much all looked like this Wires shouldn't stand on thier own should they? The old set totally gone and replaced Edited by empeg9000 2013-05-07 9:50 AM

The car actually belongs to my father in law but he has given it to me to take care of and be it's custodian. I love the car though. It had 25K on it and is all original. It was featured in Classic Car a couple years back.

Member Posts: 23 | Today I had a new exhaust on the Royal Lancer. I love the sound of it. It's a little louder than I was hoping for but it does sound good. It's quiet going down the road but gets louder when you jump on it. It's tucked up nice and high. The old one was kind of low on the drivers side and would sometimes hit on the ground going over big bumps.

Yes I have been unable to source proper gas tank straps so I could really use them. I have been replacing all the little items that are just old on the car.I've already done battery and starter cables, transmission pan gasket, new speedo cable. The trans shift cable is leaking so I need to try and put some shrink wrap on that or just replace it. I also need the flexible line from the fuel pump to the frame rail hard line.

I love my Goodyear Custom Super Cushions!! (Does it show...?) Picked up my car a couple of days ago with the Super Cushions on, new rear shocks, a repainted engine bay and a couple other knick knacks done. What a great difference these tires make: great handling, no more jerking around from left to right in the crevasses on the road like my old BF goodrich did.

Member Posts: 23 | Engine bay and tires look great soiouz! Nice job. Are you going to put engine stickers back on it? I am hoping to do mine up like that this summer. I would probably at least clean up the engine bay sometime next week. I will be on vacation so why not. Last night I cleaned all my windows, gave it a good vacuum, polished the chrome, and a wipe down with the quick detailer. I was invited to be in the Memorial Day parade with it so I want to make sure it's looking spiffy.

Thanks for the good words! As for stickers, there were never any stickers on this engine originally, except the air cleaner one, which is still present. So it will all stay as you see it now! Expert Posts: 3480 Location: Montreal, Canada | d500neil - 2013-05-25 2:26 PM David, you should inflate your new tires to at least 32 psi. What?? You inflate your tires more than the max recommended load? As my car is now, the tires are inflated to the load recommended by the factory in both the Shop Manual and the Owner's manual. Since they used these same tires, I assumed this was the way to go, but I might be wrong. Care to explain why you would put more pressure into them? Edited by soiouz 2013-05-25 4:27 PM
