Wise Old Village Idiot Posts: 3591 Location: Dellslow, West ("By God") Virginia ! | That car is almost a TWIN to my old one! %$#@! Why do all these unobtainable's, 'pop up' when one has NO $$$! Geeze! Anybody wanna buy a '61 Phoenix convt?

Location: The Mile High City | That should sell! That "wet" look in selling photographs always raises suspicion. The only reason I can think of to show a car like that is to hide something. At the very least, this one beads water nicely.

Wise Old Village Idiot Posts: 3591 Location: Dellslow, West ("By God") Virginia ! | I've sent that guy two inquiries,,,, and no response back,,,,, yet Mikey. Sure it's 'wet' He didn't even roll up the hose, after 'wetted' it up for the pictures! Wonder he didn't trip over it, takin' the pictures! whoo-Haw! Wonder why he didn't clean up the floor,,,,,,? Still would like to have it. Mike, do you see the antenna for the CB radio he has? The CB is there under the dash, but, I don't see when he has the antenna. Unless it's a trunk mount, or a magnet mount and they're layin' in the trunk,,,,,,? I got a set of wings that would fit and look real good on that car!

Location: The Mile High City | Uh-oh! The web site says it was sold! I knew that one would go quickly. I agree, Rick - I would love to have the car too. I went to download the other photographs and found out the car was sold - so I don't know where the CB radio antenna was! Kinda fun to have a CB in there. If the bidding on my old Plymmie is up to $20,000 and this one was only $15,000 more - it is no wonder that it sold so quickly.

Expert Posts: 2996 Location: Sept. 1958 | This car was for sale earlier last year for $40K, around April, it was listed in an Auto Roundup. Must be the same owner as that's where it was located. A friend of mine got photos from the seller. It did have a 350, or an engine of that family, but who knows if it was original to the car. Also, I remember it had a 7 button radio. Seat upholstery and inside trunk were not correctly done. But these are one of the best looking cars Mopar ever had to offer.

Wise Old Village Idiot Posts: 3591 Location: Dellslow, West ("By God") Virginia ! | I sent that guy 5 messages. Starting from the day it was posted up there. 3 through that LemonTree ad thing. Two, to the email addy he listed, and even called the phone # he listed, and left a message. I never heard 'squat' back from him!? Matt. I must have missed it back then. I didn't see it listed. This roundup rag you are talking about. Is it the one that is printed/published in Jane Lew/Weston West Viginia?

Expert Posts: 1728 Location: Fleetwood, Pa | I'm the friend Matt D. was talking about. I was in contact with the owner sometime last year. Apparently the owner (a woman) recieved this car in a divorce settlement from her husband. The car had not been driven in a long time and was covered with a lot of dust and dirt. She did not even wash it off before she sent me photos of the car. There were also a lot of other issues with the car. I figured it was too much money for a car that would eventually need all redone (the interior, trunk and maybe the engine were all incorrect) so I passed.

Expert Posts: 4055 Location: Connecticut | Anyone that knows Mark Hash (MrFINZZZ) should contact him for the full story on this car. It's the story of a gold-digging ex-wife that guilt-tripped her dying husband into giving her this car. Not pretty. And the car, obviously, is not 'all original'. Ron

Extreme Veteran Posts: 424 Location: Harrison, NY | HELLO TO EVERYONE!!!! I HAVE TALKED TO THE GUYS WHO ARE SELLING IT FOR THE LADY/LAWERS! THE GUYS NAMES ARE ROGER AND MAX. ROGER IS ABOUT 74 YEARS OLD AND SEEMS TO BE NICE HOWEVER I HAD TO STRAIGHTEN HIS ATTITUDE OUT WHEN HE PERSISTED IN TELLING ME THE CAR IS ALL ORIGINAL, RUST FREE AND A REAL L350 FROM THE FACTORY. I HAD ASKED HIM SEVERAL TIMES FOR BETTER DETAILED PIC'S, A COPY OF THE BUILD SHEET AND THE NUMBERS OFF THE ENGINE. I EVENTUALLY RECEIVED THE PIC'S, THE CHRYSLER HIST. SOC. PAPAERWORK AND IMI CARD. I AM CURRENTLY WAITING ON THE FRONT ENGINE NUMBERS AS ROGER SAID HE WOULD CHARGE ME TO TEAR DOWN THE MOTOR AND CHECK AS I EXPLAINED HE DID NOT HAVE TO DO THAT AND YET NOT RECEIVED THE NUMBERS. AS YOU ALL KNOW THE ENGINE IS THE WRONG COLOR, INTERIOR AND TRUNK ARE WRONG, THE BRAKE PEDAL IS WORN AND THE CAR IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE 60K ORIGINAL MILES????? THIS CAR HAS LOTS OF QUESTIONS AND I AM TRYING TO GET THE ANSWERS. AT $35K AND NOW $45K THIS PLYMOUTH HAS TO MANY GREEDY AND ARGUMENTIVE PEOPLE INVOLVED BLOCKING REAL PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF FOR BUYING IT AT A FAIR PRICE FOR EVERYONE. WITHOUT ENGINE#'S I WILL PASS AS SO FAR I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THEM. ALSO THERE IS LOTS OF STORIES REGARDING THIS CAR WHICH DEEPENS THE MYSTERY! WELL GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS, JOE FROM NY

Location: The Mile High City | d500neil - 2010-01-22 5:14 PM Mike, a 1909 $5 Gold piece might just BUY this here car. Only from the tragically uninformed! I would need about 225 of those 1909 $5 coins to get me this here roller skate. Now, a 1913 V nickel would buy as many of these Plymouth convertibles as you could lay your hands on. Too bad I don't have one of those! Hmmm...maybe I could throw in my trusty ol' 1914 D penny to sweeten the pot! Joe, can you post those pictures here? Edited by Lancer Mike 2010-01-22 10:26 PM
