Expert Posts: 4589 Location: Northern New Jersey | I bought the same type item last year. I have yet to install it in either of my cars. I do have the instructions if you need a copy. Installation looks fairly simple. The plug/jack is right under the steering column, and one wire attaches to the light switch. PM me if you need the instructions, or if you don't want to install it in your car, I'll buy it from you. Steve

Expert Posts: 2290 Location: Eastern Iowa | FYI The 1st reference to this accessory I could find is in the 1960 parts book. It's in section 1-06-0 Warning Light, which is a new section not shown in my 57, 58,or 59 books. It is described as "LIGHT PACKAGE, Emergency Flashing Warning" Part # is 2097-277 for all except Chrysler and Imperial which used part #2097-278 For '61 it's #2256-969 for Plymouth & Dodge, #2097-278 Chrysler and #2256-968 Valiant & Imperial For '62: #2290-413 for Valiant, Lancer, Plymouth, Dodge and Imperial. Chrysler for '62 stuck with #2097-278 Sounds like a 1 in 5 chance it'll be right for your application, not knowing the original # on the box. Dave S. Edited by finsruskw 2010-02-18 2:07 PM

Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13055 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | Thanks to Denise and Chuck, here is an electric wiring schema for a emergeny flasher unit for '60 Chrysler (and Imperial?). I have an aftermarket emergency flash switch and I'm now waiting for the female and male connectors, so that I can build the "cable thief" connector without changing or damaging my original harness. Remember - the 6 pole units shown in the pictures above DOES NOT FIT Chrysler (and Imperial?) I made one electric wiring schema in Swedish and one in English - for your convienency! This might also help those that want to install a trailer hitch.
