Expert Posts: 4042 Location: Connecticut | What is the correct location for the p/b vacuum canister for a 60 Dart ? Does anyone have a pic of a 60 Dart (318) engine compartment with a power brake setup ? Ron Edited by ronbo97 2010-06-10 10:39 PM

Expert Posts: 4042 Location: Connecticut | Hi Chuck - Your engine compartment doesn't exactly look stock. :) I'd like to see pics of a stock 318 setup, including how vacuum canister is installed. I'm working with someone that has a '60 Dart with a 57-9 style booster setup. Did all makes of Chrysler Corp. cars have the same setup for '60 (T-connector for vacuum by booster, canister under battery, etc.) Ron

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7207 Location: Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island, Canada | The vacuum reserve canister in my 60 Chrysler is mounted inside the front fender behind the headlights. Most of the ones I've seen are under the battery.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 421 Location: N. Georgia | Mine is under the battery. Although it's hard to see much in the above pics, the hose on mine seems to follow the same route as Chuck's. I would try to get a pic but just had my hip replaced and I'm on a walker right now so I can't get out at the moment.

Expert Posts: 4042 Location: Connecticut | A little over-sensitive, are we ? Instead of throwing a tantrum, why don't you post a pic of the location of your vacuum tank, which is what I was looking for ? Ron

Expert Posts: 4042 Location: Connecticut | On the same topic, there is a T-connector at the bellows on the hose that draws vacuum from the intake. Why was this used starting in '60, but Ron

The tank is obscured and I couldn't figure out from the pics where it was, since only about 5% is visible. No offense meant against Chuck. Ron
