Here is a youtube video of Gerad running a perfect 16.00 at Bandimere Club Clash earlier this year in "The Beast" - a 1958 Dodge Coronet Lancer coupe formerly owned and raced by Wilbur Huyett.

That 58 Dodge can move out! And Gerad is only 18 years old too!

Nice run Boy Wonder!

I pretty much did most of the work on the Beast ! Ok, ok - not true. But I did resist the impulse to crush it.

Gerad and I both appreciate that you did not part it out and/or crush it. He loves that car!

Received a message today from YouTube user RavenousInstinct who comments: "my great grandfather worked with wilbur fixing this car."

Ok, 1) that means that I am officially old, 2) I will try to get him Gerad's phone number, and 3) it is amazing how and where information turns up about The Beast.

It is still not too late to crush it.

Too late for me! I signed the title over to Gerad last month.

Let's see... if this respondant is just a kid (16) and his father is 32 and his grandfather is 48 and his great-grandfather is 64, then the great grandfather would have been born in 1946 and would have been a 20 year-old when Wilbur was racing.

Heck, I am 41 and my great-grandfathers were born between 1862 and 1883!
