Expert 5K+ Posts: 7207 Location: Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island, Canada | I've been talking to this gal by email for a few weeks now and she has finally decided on a price for this car. She has inherited it from her father who purchased it back in the mid sixties. It is an extremely solid 300-G 2 door hardtop with everything there and even the interior is in decent shape. This car could be a turn key driver but could probably use some brake work and fluid changes prior to driving it. She tells me she really can't see any rust and the trunk floor is solid. Having said that this is no guarantee and I would advise anyone interested in it to look at it or have someone local go take a look at it first before making any decisions. The car is located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Below is her ad: For Sale - 1961 Chrysler 300-G, very good original condition, minimal rust. Owned by my late father since ( the year ) . Everything is there and complete, no modifications. It has a decent original interior and can be driven and enjoyed as is or restored. There aren't many original un-restored 300-Gs left that are as good as this one. Cross Ram induction system still there and intact. May need minor work like brakes, fluids, fuel system etc. to get it in driving condition. $32,000.00 USD. Veteran Posts: 122 Location: Edmonton, AB | I wonder if I have 35 large in spare change in my sofa. That car is in my town. If anyone wants someone to have a peek, lemme know. It reminds me of my uncle's 300G convertible. Only his has a 1970's crushed velvet interior

Expert Posts: 2612 Location: Parts Unknown | I love that steel wheel look on these - NEVER see it !!!! - the black paint (car and rims) makes it even nicer - prob wont stay that way once someone pulls it outta the weeds - interesting coil - saw a magazine article on a long ram motor that added a coil that looked just like that one - I believe it was a marine coil or somethin . . . Ill check on it . . . I would spend that in a second if I had it (32k) - sitting out on the grass is gonna kill that thing . . .

Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | I'm trying to get Glenn Richards, new-proud owner of an all-black 59 Coro D500 2-dr HT (currently somewhere over the Pacific Pond as we speak) interested in possibly installing blackwall Federal radials, with, maybe, black rims like this 300 has, with, maybe, dog dish hubcaps, too. The Coro 500's, and the 300's, were Born to Run...and, full wheelcovers have been know to roll off during cornering maneuvers---just ask a certain Charger, in Frisco, which lost FIVE of them, during one simple chase....(scene).

Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | The Doggies are definitely performance-car related, and a dirty little secret about the full-covers, especially with the Charlton Heston Model 59's (remember the race in "Ben Car"...?), is that they not only add "unsprung" weight and restrict cooling air flow to the brakes, but they make the wheels difficult to balance, because they're always spinning-around, throwing off a lot of mass as they chop through the air. But, they look great, sitting still at car shows, or moving slowly, throwing off sunlight reflections.
