I was attending a Shelby American Automobile Club meet is Charlotte years ago and a buddy of mine said he was going to the DMV to get some info on a GT350 he had that had a sketchy background. I mentioned to him that I was told by a previous owner that my GT500 was originally sold new in NC. I tagged along for the ride. When I got to the DMV, for the price of $1.00, they would search their records for any info. All you needed was a VIN, no proof of ownership required. I paid the buck, filled out a request form, waited about 30 minutes and the clerk returned with a stack of documentation. I received the complete history of the car icluding the original Ford Statement of Origin. I was able to locate a number of previous owners. I would say it is worth a try.

Yes, that is an Alberta plate. I'm not sure if the registry office would tell you who owned a plate- most likely not due to privacy issues...
That looks to be a '59 Chrysler Windsor. I have a 4 door sedan (parts car). Where was this picture posted??

I can try. The car looks fairly solid. I imagine the floors are gone in the front, as it usual here. Rear window also looks like it is missing.

Morgan,
The fellow responded! The car is in the town of Taber, which is in southern Alberta. It is parked behind a house, near the industrial area.

I know this is super old, but I found the car in less than two minutes using street view:

Just to add more - the car is/was parked at 5319 57 Street, Taber.

It does appear on the street view taken in June, 2012 and the earlier one done in August, 2009. No street view updates since June, 2012.
