Location: Winston Salem, N.C. | thankyou,
since a station wagon is longer and heavier than a sedan, should I use the larger size tire?
also what sizes do the two below, equate to, in todays radial tires. I want to use radials.
thanks for your time.

| You can get original size 7.10x15 wide whitewall Goodyears in radial from Universal Tire, http://www.universaltire.com/710-15-goodyear-4-1-4-whitewall.html But they're $210 ea. Otherwise, use WalMarts 205/75R15. 215/75R15 are a bit fat and a struggle to get through the rear wheel openings, you have to jack the frame not the axle. |

Location: Norway | Those 7.10's in the link are not radials. They are bias ply tires but not the exact same pattern and whitewall width that came on a Plymouth. The tires your car came with from the factory are these http://www.universaltire.com/goodyear/antique-series/670-15-goodyea...
or these

As Richard says 205/75-15 is the radial tire that fits best. But with a 75 profile tire there will always be a compromise. This tire is about 27" high while the 6.70 is 28.5" and the 7.10 about 29". That's quite noticable on the car and will also give you higher rpms on the higway.
Enclosed are a couple of pictures of my old '55 on 215/75 radials and 6.70 Firestone bias. I don't need to tell you what looks best

| I stand corrected on the link, I've bought three sets of these radial whitewalls. Nice tires. |
