Location: McHenry Illinois | Hello All,
I was wondering if any of you old Mopar experts can help me ID this engine. It is supposed to be a 350 or 361, but I can't find any block casting references for the block casting number: 1851829-5. Any ideas what this might be?
Thanks,
Dave Wlasiuk

Location: Dalveen, Queensland, Australia | I did a search on google yesterday and found a site that has all the casting numbers for stacks of engines, gearboxes, heads, cranks etc...
But they want $20 to subscribe. Wasn't that important to me...
Then I found another site that wasn't asking for money, but I can't remember it because I was timed out on this dopey dial-up service I have here and it was time to change the modem because I'd found a faster one.
You guessed it... that was over 24 hours ago, and I've only just got going again...
Anyway, a casting number like yours... 1852029... was the only one anywhere near yours they listed. That was a 413 Max Wedge. All the others started with 2 or 3.
Search on google, the site also listed many many ways of finding numbers on the block and what they mean.
