I got a mail from Sam, but somehow the reply didn´t get through so im posting the answer here. Hope it helps..

Very cool Dodge! What does it cost to have custom glass made by KUTTILAN AUTOLASI?

Several of the "big" kustom builders in USA have had glass made in Finland, I know they can afford it, but I am curious if the average builder can.

Thanks! .....Sam

Hello Sam!

I´ve been wondering how You guys there in the States manage without a decent glass factory
I think its pretty cheap to have a glass custom made... It costs here about the same as a regular glass, about 200€ = $240. Of course You have to make the "mold" that the factory uses to make the glass. I made mine from fiberglass. The windshield turned out nice but the rear glass didn´t because the mold didn´t hold it´s shape. I suggest You make the mold out of steel. And make it rigid. Of course the shipping costs rise but...
Anyway I think the shipping costs are the biggest part of the costs.
Of course in Kuttilan Autolasi they have the molds for "normal" glass, many old Usa-cars also.

Making the glass isn´t so big thing. Thats why I´m really amazed that no one in the USA is making them (I may be wrong.... )Kuttilan Autolasi (Kuttila = small village in southern Finland autolasi = auto glass) is making the glass in an old barn turned into a small factory!!!

Please let me know if You need any more info!

Jouni, Do you need to make a mold for each windshield you want making?
or could the company produce a number of them using just the one mold?

They use your mold to make a kind of a frame. The frame can be used many times.
