Nothin' look worse IMHO, than a car/truck w/busted springs.

Cadillac offered air ride suspension as an option 1957-1960. Today's semi trucks and even many locomotives have air ride cabs.

 That is from the '57 Chrysler full line color folder available at you local dealership... back in '57.   Pic turns up with a Google search for '57 Chrysler / Images.

questions like "Do you want to lower the Plaza like that ?" and muddy the whole point.

Figured I'd just try and find the original and avoid it all going sideways.

My new found love for these cars is a disease I don't want a cure for !!!!

How good do these FL's look lowered 'eh !!


That wagon would have to be sitting on the bump rubbers !!

I have a personal love of rat cars, my daily driver is ratty, they are cheap to keep and just as much fun.

Thanks Craig for the photothingied pics of my black Dodge.

An inch or two drop will still give me some suspension travel it would seem and looks good.

Bad influence... Real bad influence for my imagination. I love this wagon with bags but chopped version drives me grazy (positively)   :)  Maybe just a little milder chop + wide whites + spider caps would make it perfect but I could easily adopt even this version to my garage...

i would love to see the bag mounts for the front. There doesnt seem to be enough room to fit a 2500 series bag and the lower control arms are not wide at all and pretty weak looking.

Cars with chopped tops definitely look better lowered, but other than that I don't think any unchopped FL cars look better lowered. It's not that I think they look bad lowered, I just don't think they look any better than when they are not lowered.

I thought about lowering my car, since it is already a mild custom, but I came to the conclusion that I would only be doing it to conform to what everyone else thinks a custom should be like. Since I don't think it would improve the car's looks, I figured why go to the expense, and then make the car less convenient to drive in the process?

I guess I am lucky I don't see what some of you guys see when you look at those cars lowered.

Location: Michigan		Cool! Ya know.. .when I got the car it was that low. The previous owner had chopped the springs. It road like crap so I bought new springs and put it all back to original. It's a very familiar look.
