Expert Posts: 3887 Location: Northen Virginia | Little a bit worry now, sent my order 2 weeks ago, but I moved out to a new place. Called several times, sent faxes and no reply, it would be sad if the parts go to a wrong old address...

Expert Posts: 3887 Location: Northen Virginia | I was contacted yesterday by Gary's wife. Gary is doing better, but she advised me that they will be no rubber parts molded until he is back to work. Several one of the kind hand make parts are out of stock. In my case were throttle linkage, steering insulator and antenna gasket.

I ordered mostly small stuff and some pedal re-vulcanizing. My order arrived today. It is like Christmas in April Doesn't look like $100 bux worth of stuff but the pedals were half the price of nos stuff. Extreme Veteran Posts: 480 Location: The Great Northwest | I talked to Charlotte a couple of days ago. Gary is trying to work on parts in the morning hours and then resting his leg in the afternoon. Try to be patient during a time that is challenging for both of them and your items will eventually be addressed. Without the effort being made by these two, our Mopar world would be much more difficult.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 480 Location: The Great Northwest | Charlotte did answer the phone but I was returning her call to me. It is a challenging environment right now and answering the phone keeps them away from filling the orders. I do understand how difficult it is not hearing back from someone you have placed an order with but try to hang in there and they will do what they can as soon as they can.

Exner Expert 19,174 posts. Neil passed away 18 Sep 2015. You will be missed, Neil! Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | Good luck, Gary! As most of us know, the coronary vessels (arteries and veins) are much stronger than are our (donor-) extremities' vessels, which can and do wear out under the stress of coronary post-transplantation. In the not-too-far-future, Gary's vesicular transplants will be thought of as being almost dark-ages in protocol, as replacement arteries and veins will be grown from Gary's own stem cells; we (you-youngins) will be able to grow your own spare organs, on an as-needed basis. Expert ,, George Passed away July 28th 2021, He will be Missed Posts: 1295 Location: Twin Falls, Idaho | I talked to him just before the 4th of July and he is improving very well. He sounded upbeat and says he is now getting out to the shop a little but will still need to take it easy for a while. He has some workers helping him with the rubber parts and the cardboard panels. He thanks everyone for their patience. Keep him in your prayers... we would all be up the creek without him. George

Expert ,, George Passed away July 28th 2021, He will be Missed Posts: 1295 Location: Twin Falls, Idaho | I talked to him Wednesday. He is in good spirits and working as much as he can to get every ones orders out. He is going to need another skin graft on his foot but the doctor tells him he can put that off till fall or so and it won't be a problem. He told me recently he is teaching some helpers to cast rubber parts and cut cardboard panels and that is progressing. If you have ever been to his place, you know he has to climb a tall ladder to get into the loft where he does all the sewing on the upholstery, so I imagine that is going to be coming a little slower than other items. Keep him in your prayers and I know he is good for all your orders. George

I've emailed, mailed and faxed but can't get a telephone call through. The only published telephone # I can find is the one on his website. When I called it today, it rolled over to the fax machine. I have a simple, to me, question that I need to ask before ordering some items from him. How does a person contact him? ? ? ?

Extreme Veteran Posts: 347 Location: Ocean Park, Washington | OK, I plan to order a complete body mount set-up and have my gas and brake pedals done with Gary. Can anyone tell me how to order the body mount set? I have the order form and am not sure how to put that on the form. I figured checking here would be easier than trying to get in touch with Gary. The items I have ordered in the past came to me with no problems, but, after what I am reading here now, I thought this was a better way.

Expert Posts: 2788 Location: USA - KY | I recently ordered many little rubber bits and pieces for my car's engine compartment, swivel seats, and door frames and such. I didn't use the part numbers to order these items; I just carefully and clearly described what it was that I needed for the year, make and model of my car. Mr. Goers then sent me an estimate with all of the correct part numbers listed, which I could then have used to check with the catalogue to ensure that I was ordering the correct parts. (He got it right the first time.) It worked out well. There were no unreasonable delays with either the communications, or with the mailing of parts. Mr. Goers is very pleasant and honest to boot, so I think it will all work out for you too. Good luck with your car's improvements! Edited by FIN ME 2014-01-20 9:20 AM

Extreme Veteran Posts: 424 Location: Harrison, NY | Hello everyone, Gary has had multiple surgeries on his leg from a fall he took a while back. I have talked to him and he only spends a few hours in the shop a day working and sitting. He mentioned that he has multiple orders that are being worked on and will be sent. He no longer has Charlotte therefore the phone rarely gets answered. If you need an order or status send a fax or follow up with a phone call and eventually he will get back to you. All the best, Joe C NY

Expert Posts: 2788 Location: USA - KY | What he said. I just received a letter from Mr. Goers yesterday (Apr. 18) regarding a request that I had mailed to him a few weeks back...can't really recall when; maybe three weeks ago? He's had more than his share of health issues, plus another of his family members has had to have medical attention very recently, so he's needing some time to catch up with business. But I'm sure he's working through his orders as best he can. He also mentioned that he's currently having computer issues. Super nice man, and can't stress enough how honest and well-meaning Mr. Goers is. A really good egg. Plus...thank goodness he's there for us when we need those difficult-to-find parts for our Mopars.

Expert Posts: 1906 Location: Ontario, Canada | Some of us have been doing business with Gary since the time he was located in CA. He always does what he says he will do! If it is in stock you will get it. If he has to make it, it will take whatever time it takes. My best story about Gary was, many years ago, I needed a bunch of rubber parts to fill my own orders. He was too busy to help, told me that I wasn't helpless and to get off my ass and make them myself!! He told me how to make the moulds, where to purchase all the supplies, what to use as a separator and a lot of production tips as well. While he has a business to run, there is probably nobody else in this hobby who wants to see more and more of these cars properly restored than he does! When I started restoring these cars it was a very lonely place to be. Most wanted to simply "fix " their cars without regard to original detail. Without demand, markets don't exist. It was people like Gary who beat the bushes and put up personal funds to "create a demand" so OEM suppliers would consent to run some of our special stuff. My hat is off to Gary and I look forward to the day I can, AGAIN, enjoy a few drinks with him and close the bar!! GREG

Walter passed away on Jul 29, 2014. We will miss you, Walt! Posts: 5358 Location: Heaven Above (Formerly Oklahoma City,OK) | Austin, you can fax him or you can mail your request to him. If you will take the time to review the post above yours, you can see that he has other orders ahead of yours, that if he does not have the item in current inventory, it will wait until he has thee time to crank up and make it. You'll also note that where warranted, he takes the time to answer questions by mail. a few months back I had ordered some rubber parts that end the door gaskets. I could not tell from the catalogue exactly which part I needed as there were two for '55 & '56. One for the hardtop and one for sedans. Gary took the time to photo copy some instructions from a manual that I don't have and then penciled a note to clarify what it showed. So don't get in a flap, just chill, if you request parts and he ain't got 'em, he'll tell you when he gets the time. But a letter will get a reply!
