I think a lot of the sequential numbers for '57 fell out of Chrysler's archives for some reason.

I looked high and low for something about 22419481 and drew a complete blank.

Hope that's not the case with yours, but just a heads-up that it may be.

In my case, I've turned the absence of definitive coding into a whole bunch of wonderful things about Kate! Nobody can prove otherwise!

22374573

1957 was the last year for Mopar's sequential serial numbers. 22,374,573 falls into the sequence 22,330,001 to 22,450,693 for 1957 Plymouth P31 V8 production at Evansville, Indiana.

Of the 120,693 P31 models built at Evansville, yours was the 44,573rd built.

And that's all you could tell about the car from the sequential serial number.

The body tag usually had two or three numbers before the E (Evansville) for the body style.
