Windshield in my convertible cracked. Ordered a new one from Phillips Classic Glass. Same part # as cracked windshield. Doesn't fit because the glass is flat and doesn't curve into the top header like the old one did. Not Phillips' fault, but has anybody ordered this windshield lately and gotten the correct curved one?
Thanks.

When you say, 'same part number', what number did you give them ? The correct NAGS part number is W453. Sounds like you got a W451 (57 hardtop windshield).

Ron-

I gave them the year, model, and body style. They sent a W453. When the cracked one was taken out, W453-29-5 was at the top in gold lettering that had been hidden by the molding. New one has no crown, or bubble, like the old one. I had professional glass guys take out the old one and try to fit the new one but it wouldn't go. MoPar Mel has some that he says will work, but they don't have the crown like the original. $1K is his price. That may be my best solution.

Apparently, they did not send a W453 or it would've been identical to what was removed. Call Phillips and let them know. Could be a mistake on their part.

DON'T go the 'something that will work' route. You will regret it.

What do you want for your W451? Is it tinted? Marc.

Phillips is checking into it. They've been fine to work with. You're right about the 'something that will work' deal. I won't settle for it.

No, but I will if I can't get everything straightened out with Phillips. They've been good to work with so far.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I'll probably send it back to Phillips. If they won't take it back I'll let you know.

Marc-
I'm done trying to get Phillips to do anything. The windshield is tinted. I paid $425 for the windshield but I'll sell it for $400, plus shipping.
