So you only believe it if it's a video on the internet? Arkansas plate would be alright if you like brown cardboard and handwritten crayon numbers.

it's for sale for the right price, but i can't even come close to breaking even,i did turn down 15K the other day, besides i have been fighting this thing for so long, it's become like climbing a mountain and almost reaching the summit only to have to climb (or fall) back down, i really don't want to do that. This will never be the car i envisioned, but it's the best i can do.

Baby Blue? well that's in the plan, but i'm trying to at least have a driver, and i think that's the biggest mistake i made with this car, if there's one thing i learned, it's the old saying,"get it running, get it right" and it's so true, that is unless ya have deep pockets and plenty of time, i don't have either, it was probably foolish for me to attempt it in the first place.

Quit be hard on yourself. Its a nice car that you've put a lot of effort in. Now get it running for the holidays. We ALL want to see you driving it in a youtube video. Merry Christmas to you and your muslim GF. lol

Yep, I am with Dorsey, just get it going so you can enjoy it, you can turn it into the dream machine later if you want to

I have the same dilemma with my 60, had calls for it, but not even a tire kicker has come to annoy me, and it will never be like what I pictured in my head, so if it dont sell (which I dont think its going to), then it will be fixed to go and drive and maybe, made nicer later

Looking better all the time Fenix

Had an old hot rodder come by today, showed me this trick, he said he used it on all his old rod's, it's good for at least half a tenth in the quarter, not so sure about that, i think he just wanted to help me empty the cans. Schlitz should be good for even a little more.

Hang in there, fenix! I'm low budget too, and I learned years ago
that if you can't drive it, you can't fully enjoy it. That's why
I decided to get my Plymouth running/driving just the way it is,
even though it looks like an old Dawg that's been wollering
around in the mud!

BTW, if you need a hand, I'm only 60 miles West of Atlanta; feel
free to PM me if you want.

You said the magic word before..... Schlitz!! Mmmmmmmm, it just
so happens to be my favorite beer!

I have been working on my my '61 on my off days at work. I got the hell out of my last job I worked there for over 3 years and never got a raise so 1 day I said its time to get the hell out . I got a job making more money . I have benefits and 15% of my pay goes to my 401k. I also get a raise every 6 months. My notes come 1st but if I have extra in my check I buy what I need for my 61.
When it arrives I put it in the car so I know were its at.

I was wondering how far are y'all from were the Walking Dead is filmed. I have been watching the show since it started.

Steph, i googled it, seems two scenes were filmed about 5 or 10 miles from me in a couple of "blink" towns nearby.

Okay, installed the rechromed front bumper and repolished headlight trim rings, yes, i know they are 60's, but they were laying around and perfect, just had them polished. Next comes the mascara and side spears and the bumper over rider ( bumper bar)

Well didn't get as much done as i thought, did install the front fender trim and the mascara, R & R' d the front bumper to adjust it, built a screen for the hood scoop outta the old chrome muffler heat shield the exhaust guy crunched. Next is the mascara fender spears and the front bumper over rider. Sorry to bore ya to death, but anything i get done after almost 3 years is a big deal for Me.

Wow, good to catch up and see progress on this fine car. Well done Roger, it is looking good! 3 years ain't so much when I think about it.

Us old folks sure are time poor. Make the most of it I say. I want to see pics of this thing with rego plates on it and you complaining about rear tyre traction.

Thanks for all the comments, encouragement, and compliments. This has been a long haul to even get HER where SHE is, i have never seen a car as uncooperative as this one! my helper and i were putting the hood on the other day, my side was going fine, i heard a squealing sound and told him to get some PB blaster and put it on the stud and blind nut, about that time i hear a snap, yep, the blind nut came loose, since i don't own a welder, and couldn't weld anyway with this defib in me, it's off to the shop, another 120 bucks shot up a swine's posterior. I now have front seal leaking in the trans, still have to extract the exhaust studs, seal them, and reinstall them, this will be done a a local shop with a lift, i'm not getting under HER again, it would take me so long to get out from under HER and up on my feet that i would either freeze to death, or starve, which ever came first!

yep, i remember back in the day, had a 55 chevy, had a scoop off of an F-600 ford dump truck, the big ford trucks ran them backwards for some reason, probably to pull hot air out of the engine bay, those scoops would be outta place on a 61, this is old school stuff, anyway, why do you ask?

She's looking FANTASTIC, Roger!!! One of these days when
I got enough extra ca$h for gas, I'm gonna cruise on over there
to visit... (and I'll bring some brewskies) Tain't easy
but you're doing very very well under the circumstances, Bro!!

And, by the way, I LOVE the mascara around those headlights!!!
darn, that looks WAY cool!! You're almost finished with
her, so instead of looking back at how much/long it has taken,
focus on how far you have to go to get her done, as if you just
bought it today.

Little update on the Whack-A -Mole 61 Plymouth. Had a power steering leak, had two pumps, both leaking, found a local hyd shop, waited several day, picked it up, not pumping, took it back, picked it up the next day, works, No turn sigs/brake/tail lights, badly gummed up switch, one contact recessed, no good, fixed that, no horns, bad relay, 2nd relay bad, horns work, but only one, new set of horns. Drive it about two miles and start hearing a clunking noise, pull over, drivers side rear wheel has two lugs missing and one lug has pulled the stud loose, so there's no way to take the lug off, and no way to cut the lug, some of the other lugs are loose on other wheels I may have to get someone with a plasma cutter to cut the center out of the rim so i can get between the rim and the brake drum with a wiz wheel or sawzall .....................cue Sonny and Cher

I told you about letting HER play with your nuts!!! You need to quit listening to the Beat Goes On and get your nuts re-tightened.

OK, spent the day getting the rim off, had to cut a few studs off and finally did got it off, 5 new studs, for the axle flange, a trip to get new lug nuts at Summit, this time the lugs were torqued with torque wrench, time to drive it around the block a few times and bring her back to check the lugs again, NOPE, blow a freeze plug out and have to have it rollbacked to the house, luckily i had a few beers and after a while when my bladder was full, i let her know how i felt, right in the grill, cue Sonny and Cher..................

Father O'Brian from the local Catholic church is coming over tomorrow and perform an exorcism ritual on the car, he said to make sure i had a copy of Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells" to play as he does his thing, oh, and he's bringing a new freeze plug that's been "blessed" by Richard Petty.
