I have picked up a new toy project that has had a newer 8-3/4 swapped into it. It is too wide, and I'm wondering if someone could tell me what the stock width was drum face to drum face?

Thanks

The original '57 rear end was 60 7/8" drum-to-drum.

All of the flange axle drop-in replacements are wider, with the '65-'69 C-body being the closest at 61 3/4". The widest is the '70-'73 C-body wagon at 64 3/8".
