Christoph is planning a ForwardLook display at the Forney next spring. The illustrious John Quinn sent me this notice. I am certain some of Patrick Van De Weghe's cars will be there and no doubt some of Wayne Maddox's cars will display. Quinn is going to check on the details - namely if they have to STAY in there during that whole time period!

It should be a fun display and maybe we can organize a group to attend the event. If you have any interest in including YOUR car, please contact Christoph at the Forney.

John said Christoph has 11 cars and he is looking for 20. We need to let him know soon! I am going to check in to the details of getting my car down from Grand Lake - but I am still a bit on the fence on this one. John says the cars have to stay in place during the three month exhibit.

I just went over today.

Well worth the $9.50 admission price!

If you have not gone yet, get going!

Cristoph had done a great job.

All the cars are wonderful.

A few more images.

I don't know what is wrong with my camera.

The display is much better than I could capture with my camera...

I think Christoph ended up with over 25 Forward Look cars there!

Plus the 1963 Ghia Limousine!

Each vehicle was totally outstanding.

Really cool.

Thats really cool, thank you

Not sure I could give my car to someone to show for 3 months, but, if it was not doing anything (locked up for winter or something like that) then why not

It was good that they all wernt 100% stockers either

Doesnt look like a 60 plymouth made it, but there is definitely a good mix of cars

Wow! Some amazing FL cars in the Denver area, what an incredible variety! I'd love to own that '57 DeSoto 4 dr hardtop!!
Who is Christoph and how did he get so into FL cars?

Thanks for looking, fellas! Altogether, I counted 24 cars.

Dodge had the most representation with 9 vehicles
The 1957 model year had the most with 6 vehicles
Two door hardtops were the most seen body style with 11 cars
(so Wayne Maddox's car was a great choice for the promotional poster)

Every Forward Look year was represented
Every make was represented
There were no representatives of the two-door sedan or the four-door hardtop wagon on display (or a concept car), otherwise every body style was shown.

Some of the more unusual sights were the La Femme, the Ghia, a 1957 Fireflite sedan with a gas heater, and a dealer installed rear window shade on a '61 Dodge four door sedan.

Each and every vehicle was wonderful!

That '57 De Soto Fireflite Sportsman sedan is owned by Wayne Maddox - a Denver area local collector. Maddox has been collecting Forward Looks for a very long time. He has great stories about all his finds and (before they became so hard to find) he would search out unrestored cars and preserve them. Most of the cars he has he will describe as "this is exactly how I found it!"

Christoph is the curator of the Forney Transportation Museum in Denver. He is a fan of every type of transportation out there. He appreciates Forward Look cars, but he values everything related to transportation: plane, train, auto, bike - you name it. The Forney has an amazing collection under its ownership. Cristoph is trying to change up the display area with these special exhibits. The next one up is a Cadillac exhibit. He is doing a great job; for a long time, the museum display was static and if you had seen it once, you had pretty much seen it.

The big show runs through this weekend, so you had better stop by if you have not already!
