Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Location: .Norfolk..Mafia.. ,England UK | NOT MINE.... But i do know of the Car and previous Owner.. No Reserve , On UK Ebay now http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201273331947?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649... Hi welcome to my auction for my 1957 Plymouth Belverdere 2 dr hard top pillarless coupe very rare car especially this side of the water! I bought this car to replace my 1957 chevy bel air as its my ultimate all time car having grew up with the "Christine" movie and has always been a dream of mine! The first picture is when the guy before me had it, who then partly stripped it down and then the second pic is when i got it! I set about completly stripping down and having it sand blasted to find out excatly the extent of the rot, which turnt out to be mainly localised to the floor pans and some rot around the boot rubber gutter, guessing from being stored with a wet carpet at some point! new floor pans were ordered from the states and the rest fabricated that couldnt be bought! The boot rubber gutter was ordered from a good used car in canada and grafted on so now we have a solid rot free body and is curently sitting in the body shop awaiting a start on the paint work, the chassis was 100% solid and painted in 2k gloss black and looking like new! Now in the mean time I have been busy buying lots of New, new old stock or good used parts and have 90% of the parts to finish and also turn into a 1958 as they were slightly differant to a 57, inc really good 58 headlights, and back lights with nos rear lenses and professionally polished surounds for the fronts, I have as i say most of the parts to finish and plus lots of doubles of some stuff and also the 57 lights etc that you can either sell or swap for the bits left you need! The seats are all there all be it in frames only so will all need covering or you can order all the trim you need from a guy in the states and do it yourself!(mopar mel) Engine was running when it drove into the guy before me garage but i have not had it running. the last pic is how it sits now in the body shop, I have all the glass inc front and rear screen and also very good original rubber for both again all the way from canada! So in short this is a big project and to finish needs Paint (have the paint already) trimming few parts left to find engine freshen up refitting back up! Pic number 11 to show what it will look like when finished! Viewing is more than welcome and recomended as I expect you to bid to buy not tyre kick after! I wish i could finish it and expect to lose a lot of money in selling it as it is now but unfortunatly due to change in my circumstances i have to let this dream go but hope to own one again one day!! We are located in Brentwood Essex 2 mins from junction 28 M25 and 15 minutes from the dartford tunnel Any question please dont hesitate to ask either by email or call me on 07738003944 Mark Thank you, Good luck and happy bidding! | ||
