Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Location: .Norfolk..Mafia.. ,England UK | http://www.autoblog.com/used-detail-299375081200922576-Dodge-Corone... Mileage 71,943 Drivetrain RWD Engine 8 Cyl Transmission Automatic Stock No. 541AC Location Atlanta, GA Features Power Seat (Driver) Power Steering Power Top Seller Comments our dealership is pleased to offer this rare 1958 Dodge Coronet convertible. This survivor is a very original example with only 71,000 miles and the same owner since 1970. Eggshell over tan and peach brocade interior. Optioned with the Red Ram 325 cubic inch V8, push-button transmission, AM radio, power steering and power seat. Always garaged and used as a weekend driver since the current owner's purchase from the original owner in 1970. One repaint in the original color sometime in the 1960s. Some minor rust is starting in the rockers but we have found no filler. Chrome and stainless is in good original condition. Interior is remarkably well preserved but driver's seat upholstery has some wear. Runs and drives well and we believe everything is in working order except the fuel gauge and power top. Drive as is or an excellent candidate for a sympathetic restoration. Original owner's manual included. The Swept Wing Coronets were ahead of their time in both design and engineering and embody the Rocket Age fabulous 50s better than just about any car on the road. It's hard enough to find a 57-58 Coronet convertible but this may be one of - if not the last - original, unrestored survivor examples left. For more information about this 1958 Coronet Convertible for sale at our dealership in Atlanta, please call us.

Expert Posts: 1491 Location: Lordstown, Ohio | No. A friend of mine called on it 2 days after it appeared. The guy told him he took a deposit for it. Sold the car for 25k. He told my friend he has been trying to sell the car for over 3 years. Someone on the east coast bought. Not me, little to late on the draw

Location: The Mile High City | Amazing! They sold it for $25,000 and you know they must have taken a profit. Trying to sell it for three years! If any of us would have heard of it, we would have snapped it up in an instant! Let's hope someone enjoys the good deal and doesn't just flip it (although they would have an easy time flipping this one)! Data Plate: TorqueFlite Power seat Accessory Group 2 (radio group) white top Solex windshield undercoating dealer truck build date 7/22/58 - pretty late! Expert Posts: 1728 Location: Fleetwood, Pa | If you look at the pictures closely and blow them up to really look closely at the areas these cars rust, you'll see that this car is no rust-free gem. It has some issues......Is it a rot bucket? No, but it's not near as nice as it's described. It was bought well, but not dirt cheap. If it was dirt cheap, it would have been sold 3 years ago to a flipper......Nice late fifties convertibles for $25k of any make are not easy to find and almost anybody in the automotive hobby knows at least that much....

Location: The Mile High City | I could see someone doing a few things to this and making a bundle. Clean up the engine bay, paint the valve covers, fix the front seat, new carpets, minimal body/paint work - sell it for around $50,000.

Location: The Mile High City | May as well show a few pictures - it looks like they took the advertisement down.
